Totally dishonest and incompetent doctor Briefly saying i have leg nerve or nerves damage caused by a botched procedure done by doctor who did injection to the groin in order to block the nerves of groin without any ultrasound guidance at the end of december 2022. He did not just could not block the nerve of groin but he managed to block the nerve of.leg and even damaged it. He got me out from hospital with wheelchair himself. Since that day i have been suffering from new burning nerve pain, tingling, numbness and weakness and other functional issues began immediately after this procedure. I texted him the next day about that pain and he just ignored me and did not reply, moreover I did not get any report about procedure apart from billing cost where mentioned nothing about name of procedure, break down details of cost and name of doctor. Moreover right after the procedure we found out the medicine that was used on me was expired more than 7 months. We took pictures of this medicine with expiration date info on it. Now i have been suffering from horrible serious nerve damage pain 24/7 even if when i am bedridden. nerve damage could be permanent and it is not rare case for nerve damage. He is not experienced in chronic groin pain but lying to his patients to learn himself
This is the absolute worst Hospital ever. If you have a procedure scheduled at this facility I urge you to cancel. I have kidney stones. They scheduled a 2:00pm Surgery since they would not pass. I was told to get a ride to the hospital and be there by 11:30 am for a rapid covid test. They came outside to test me , then told meet wait at the curb. They lost the test and 3 hours later in excruciating pain they were still telling me to wait at the curb. The staff was horrible with the exception of 1 kind nurse ho let me inside at 2:30. I then waited until 5:00 for my surgery. I awoke at 6:30 to an empty surgery unit with one 2 nurses who could to answer any questions. The surgeon had left, I had no meds or going home instructions. My family was never notified I was our of surgery , I was bleeding through the sheets and dripping blood on the floor when I tried to stand up. Nobody was able to help and I was send home with no meds. The pain was horrible and the bleeding lasted 2 days. There was no follow up and the surgery wound up being a failure . I need the exact same surgery next week. This facility should be shut down. I hope it closes soon. I prefer to live with kidney stones rather than return to this disaster of a hospital
This hospital is horrible well let’s just say there emergency room is so unprofessional if you feel your on your death bed don’t go here. This use to be a great emergency room until all of the great doctors have retired and or transferred. Registration violates your hippa rights. The nurses accuse you of lying about what your there for then end up apologizing wants the facts are received and they see things for themselves. The security think that they intimidate you
gave me a confirmation email with THE WRONG ADDRESS and then refused to see me because i was late by 20 minutes because of them. also was standing at the desk for 5 minutes before they even realized i was standing there. entire building was empty, they rude and unprofessional. wont be going to this hospital
Worst place ever. Understaffed and they lack proper education. I took my son there due to something lodged in his ear, only for the dr to dismiss us by saying it's ear wax. When I asked for a 2nd opinion I was greeted with attitude and told the only other physician was with a critical patient. I had in my mind to wait but there attitude and and actions were so poor i decided to leave and go to a more skilled hospital aka CCF where that ER department removed the lodged item from his ear. If you love your family don't send them here. My sons ear could have been seriously damaged.
Overall I have had mostly good care at Uh Richmond Medical but this experience with doing my Pre Surgery Covid test was a little irritating. The gentleman who was pre-screening Patients was very nice and helpful in explaining how the process went but the Woman Performing the test was a little rude and short about my nervousness. I get that she's probably done 100's of these but when you come across someone who has never had to experience taking the test and is nervousness being short with them and telling them don't start is not a very comforting feeling to the person you are about to poke in the nose. My actual surgery was not a good experience. The surgeon did a great job but the Anesthesiologist was very arrogant and ignored both the nurses request and mine to remove the IV he inserted wrong and now as a result I have been dealing with nerve damage and neuropathy almost five months later.
The tech performing the testing today was so nice and gentle. I had to take my toddler in for a COVID test in preparation for a surgery and I was so anxious and nervous about it. The tech was extremely gentle and made the test so easy for him. He didn't move, cry, or even budge. He left smiling and happy.
My first stay was 1 yr ago this past September, I would recommend it to everyone, the nurses were very kind and showed genuine concern and kindness they accommodated my every wish for which I was very greatful. They truly put me at ease. I appreciated everything they did for me. Oh and this was my first stay at UH.
The test was fast and pain free. The only complaint is that I had trouble locating the testing area. It's a walk-in and wasn't clearly marked. I rode around the building twice looking for cones. Cones were everywhere because of construction. The nurse at the ER entrance directed me to the correct doors.
I came for scheduled walk-up testing. There were clear signs for parking and signs of where I needed to go. I was able to check in with no problem and no wait time. Barb who performed the testing was very friendly and made sure that everything was clean. She did her best to make me feel at ease and comfortable.
