The mission of the Center for Latin American Studies Mission is:
To contribute to the teaching mission of the university through general education courses, undergraduate and graduate degree programs focusing on Latin America;
To foster high quality research including publications and funded projects on Latin America across the university;
To serve as an outreach resource for public understanding of Latin America in the university, the community, the state, the nation, and the hemisphere;
To develop and support strong collaboration with Latin American colleagues and institutions.
