The official independent, representative body for students at the U of C. Learn what we do with our $2+ million budget at http://sg.uchicago.edu.
SG, with a budget of over two million dollars, is responsible for the funding of all Registered Student Organizations on campus. We do this through a number of funding bodies, including Student Government Finance Committee (SGFC), the Community Service Fund (CSF), the Coalition of Academic Teams (CAT), the Program Coordinating Council (PCC), the Sports Fund, the Campus Dialogue Fund, Annual Allocations.
Additionally, SG provides the quarterly airport shuttles, hosts conversations with University staff and administrators, and puts on events to foster an engaged and connected student body. We're always looking for more ways to support students, so drop us a line if there's something you'd like to see us doing.
The University of Chicago Student Government (SG) exists to further the interests and promote the welfare of the students at the University of Chicago; to foster a vibrant University community; and to represent the body more effectively before University authorities and the community at large.
