The International Affairs Association is a group of UMaine students that focuses on international relations. During our meetings we discuss current international topics like terrorism, the water crisis, international drug trafficking, and other current events. Each week brings a new topic and a group of individuals that drive and intellectual argument that hopefully produces potential solutions to these global conflicts. We host two trips each year and we take part in the Canadian American Center Ottawa Trip. Our sponsored trips are to the Model United Nations Conference in Montreal in January and a cultural trip that is planned by the group, last year we went to Quebec City.
