The College of Arts and Sciences offers students essential foundations in the visual arts, music and theater, literature languages, mathematics, and the natural and social sciences. The College is also home to many degree programs that can launch you directly into your career. For instance, Music, Art & Design, Health, and theater are among the College’s programs that have career-oriented concentrations.
In all of our programs, highly qualified professors are deeply committed to real-life learning. We know that students' intellectual development and sense of fulfillment are achieved not only in the classroom, but also on campus and in the community. Many of the College’s students work with faculty on their research and scholarship or undertake internships as part of their program of study. The College also offers popular two-week study abroad trips for academic credit to destinations including China, England, France, Honduras, Italy, Romania, and Russia.
The mission of the College of Arts and Sciences is to educate leaders who solve tomorrow’s problems. We are committed to educate leaders who understand (through knowledge), solve (through critical thinking), communicate (orally and in writing), and execute (through experiential education).
