UNH's CFMS is an advanced program open to Undergraduates who wish to develop an understanding in public relations, mass communication, and advertising.
This program at the University of New Haven incorporates theoretical concepts, academic precision, and hands-on experience to prepare students for future positions in business, the public sector, the media, or for furthering their education.
Not only does the department offer various hands-on experiences, but an internship opportunity is also offered as a valuable component to the program. Various internships are held at regional and national businesses, public service corporations, and print and electric media. Students are able to get more involved by writing for the student newspaper (The Charger Bulletin), working at the campus radio station (WNHU-FM), and doing programming for local TV stations or producing film and video programs.
The Department's faculty have held positions as editors or associate editors of more than a half dozen of the most prestigious scholarly journals in the communication discipline and have received many national and international recognition.
UNH's Communication department encourages and empower students to enter regional and national competitions areas such as: public relations, advertising, radio, television, and film.
This page is designed to bring students together in order to share events, information, and excellence. Frequent posts will be made in order to share upcoming events, presentations, speakers, student spotlights, and special announcements.
