My grandson was served so well there. He had too many teeth and they were so crowded we needed help. Over the months of dentistry work done they came out perfect. I sent a woman whose life needed turning around. She had no teeth and so her chances for work were slim. They did such a beautiful job her life was truly changed!. It's all in the smile where our first judgements come from others. Thanks is all we can give you for the great work these aspiring dentists do! What a great program all around. Therese Spears
I commute 200 miles to get to you 0P in San Francisco for my dental treatment. I believe the best treatment is possible here because you are dealing with dentists that have been in the business and are retired or partially retired and you are dealing with a new student at the same time They have meetings about your does your help with your teeth and what is best for you you are in charge the entire time and they supervise and tell you what is possible. I am in my 70s and it is worth the trip for me to come over 100 miles
AMAZING experience at this Dental University ! I had received dental services for the span of a year and a half and I cannot say enough great things about my experience. The student / dentist I was referred to was a natural. He did numerous feelings as well as gave me so much information on dental care and hygiene that I never knew before and was so professional and respectful and kind and just simply put, helpful! The building is amazing as I probably will never see another dentist office like it. It's very easy to get to through Bart or Muni. Surprisingly they even had great service by phone. I had moved across the country and was sad that I wouldn't be able to have my dental services through the university anymore. I had Medi-Cal when I was seen at the University and they didn't treat me any different had I had high-end private insurance which was also very impressive. There is senior staff dentist/teachers that are on the floor and can assist at a snap of a finger and they were amazing as well. You can really tell the teachers want their students to succeed in the students that are there are serious and want to learn and succeed as well. Andre was the name of the student I have and I will never forget him he made a very positive lasting impression as a dentist. He was in his last year at the University and said that his mother and father practiced dentistry in Sacramento and that he was going to follow the same route. I'm sure he's doing amazing and I wish nothing but the best for him in his dental career. There is so much more I could say in a positive note about this University and in all honesty this is probably one of the only reviews that I can't find something negative to say, though I was a little saddened that I had to be rescheduled for a teeth whitening session as I was traveling in guest spotting for my career in different states and only had a week back in San Francisco at the time to be able to do the teeth whitening appointment so I was never able to get the whitening session done at the University but it was understandable as he said he had finals amongst other things. So in short, if you're on defense if you should go to the university for your dental services because of whatever reason just pull the trigger and do it. I had received better dental services through this University then I ever did in any professional dental office and it's a shame that I have to settle for basic dental offices as I do now. This University should be a model of how professional outstanding dental offices should be throughout the states. Thank you University of the Pacific Dentistry for the outstanding excellent dental care I received throughout my year and a half of visits. And I want to give one more shout out to Andre, your an amazing dentist and I hope success follows you throughout your professional career as it did at the University, you deserve it bro!
Mixed feelings. The student who helped me and my family is very nice. However, wait time at the clinic and making appointments are giving me headaches - they only do phone appointments, which my call is never being picked up. When they call back and I miss that call, I have to call again and leave voicemail and wait again. I have been on this phone game for almost a week, and still not able to talk to someone. I guess the best thing about this place is their emergency service but not for regular non emergency appointment.
Please take it from my own experience do NOT go here. They super messed up doing fillings on the left side of my lower jaw and my mouth has been messed up ever since. These are STUDENTS, NOT DOCTORS. You are a human guinea pig to them. They will mess up on procedures and you will pay the price. They require you sign a LIABILITY WAIVER to work on you, so when they screw up they're not legally responsible. Way too risky, don't chance it
The University of Pacific is only ok for simple services as cleaning and extraction. It’s not work for implants, they never finish the service. It’s usually takes mire than 2 years and should take more and more, they say that the laboratory is taking long time; it’s really disappointed! I do not recommend; it’s hard to understand what kind of professional they are putting on the market.
This place is a scam and takes advantage of people to get test subjects for their students. Told me they accepted my insurance when I called. When I got there they had an student fit me for earplugs with no explanation or consent to be seen by someone who clearly didn’t know what they were doing. Then I waited MONTHS for my earplugs hearing nothing. Finally when I called to inquire they told me they don’t accept my insurance. Net: I wasted my time and did not get what I went there for.
This is for reception, I am disabled and there was no one in line today. My appointment slip was for someone else because we have the same last name and first letter of our first name. I was at the side of the reception desk, where they help people and asked for help. They ignored me!!! Then, when I finally got them to look at me, they made me walk around to the other side and wait, just to have me go back to the Same place I was at. Wow!!!
Clinic went downhill the last 2-3 years! Avoid if you need a procedure like an implant that may take well over 2 years compared to 9 months at a private dentist! It takes their lab 5 weeks to make crowns that may not fit and have to be made again with new impressions. It's great that they have all specialists needed for implants: oral surgery, periodontics, and Endo and Surgery departments have residents so are great if the Clinic will refer you and your Clinic student shows up. And all x-rays and check ups must be done serially before you can move to the next appointment. It can also be difficult getting into the clinic for an emergency. Many male faculty are condescending to women and don't supervise. There's no one to follow long dental cases and to make sure they are completed.
I really like this place and I go here to for my braces treatment and honestly I hope I go here one day and be an orthodontist and also everyone is super nice!:
