Your one-stop destination for all things going on in Porter Hall at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville!
Porter Hall was built in 1966 and is named after Foster B. Porter. The hall generally enjoys a good mix of freshmen and returning residents. Whether it’s the recreational options within the hall (such as our billards and foosball tables) or the social programs put on by the Resident Assistants (RAs) or Porter Hall Council, there’s always something fun going on in Porter. Porter Hall has prided itself with having a strong hall council as well as strong participation in Homecoming events. Each year Porter sponsors an annual social event in the Spring called “A Night in Vegas” that is open to the entire campus community. Students get the opportunity to play Vegas-style games and donations benefit a local charity chosen by the hall.
Porter Hall Activity Membership are $12 and gets you access to check out board games, cooking equipment, sporting equipment, and tools.
