For starters reception noticed I paid the normal rate but saw I had military ID so they refunded the difference. The room was clean and the pillows were nice and firm most of the time I go into a hotel and the pillows are too fluffy and soft I end up needing to stack 2-3 pillows to have nice support. The check out time of 1200 is great too allowed me to actually sleep in after a long drive. Also pet friendly! Overall great experience if I'm in the area again I know where I will be staying.
Probably one of the better hotels in town. Plenty of parking, lobby is spacious and functional. Hotel staff are well trained, friendly and know how to treat a guest. The rooms are SPACIOUS and the beds are super comfortable. A/c temperature needs a little tweaking to be accurate, but that didn’t ruin our stay at all. Lobby could do with a lipstick remodel, but wasn’t ugly and didn’t feel any more like a time-warp than the rest of this part of America lol. If you’re in town and need a place to stay, I’d recommend this place!
The hotel itself was an acceptable experience. Staff was amazing, but the state of the hotel itself is very much showing a lack of care. Had some basic things in our room that were in bad shape: The sink drain plug didn’t work, our toilet seemed to be constantly filling and slowly draining itself causing the room to be humid, and the desk was extremely wobbly. We had no fridge in our room, be prepared. There were a few visible cracks in the shower tiling, but I couldn’t understand why we had zero toilet paper in our unit upon check-in. The front desk had plenty for us, but I felt there was a lack of attention to have to get it from the front desk minutes after we checked in at 11PM. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the door locked, so the basics were covered. Every door in this hotel squeaks. I wish there was more than 2 luggage carts for a hotel this size, because everyone was following us around waiting for us to be done so they could steal it. The spa is no longer there as it was in recent years, but the coffee shop is quaint and welcoming. Complimentary buffet breakfast on Saturday/Sunday.
Check in was great. Didn't like I was charged before I ever checked in when I wasn't supposed to pay until I arrived at the hotel and physically checked in. My card was charged around 8:00 a.m. I arrived around 7:30 p.m. Business Center computers were not working the entire stay and they didn't know when they would be. Requested maid service at 1:00 p.m. Again at 3:30 p.m. And then again asked why we had not received maid service around 5:30 p.m. Their resolve was bringing me the sheets for the beds to do the maid service myself. I have not checked out yet and I have been charged again for my stay. Between both charges, they have charged my card more than my stay and I have NOT charged anything to my room. I would think really hard before booking here. As for myself, my family, my business and the company I work for, we have all decided we will not come back to this hotel again. The room was also not worth $134/night. No refrigerator or microwave. I could have stayed somewhere else with better reviews and services for half the price. Definitely will consider my options way more instead of taking someone else's word for this hotel. Rooms: Poor! Lamp needed the chair to stay standing. TV service was spotty the entire stay. Devices kept falling out of outlets that really need to be replaced. Both entrance and bathroom doors are seriously splintering at the bottom and could hurt someone from the wood pieces on the floors. Coffee Maker was filthy. Water pressure in the shower was very poor to wash my hair. May be great for someone with extremely short hair, but definitely not for long hair. There was more water pressure in the lobby fountain than in the shower! Food & drinks: The only available food and or drinks was through their little cafe. No vending machines found at all. If you didn't buy from their cafe between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., you couldn't get a drink or snack. They do not serve free breakfast except on weekends.
This place reminded me of an older Embassy Suites/Renaissance hotel. The rooms were great and very clean. Everything was really nice, but it would have been good if they served breakfast during the week. Also, they had complimentary coffee in the small cafe style shop, but it was at the back, so I paid for a specialty coffee before realizing I could have had a regular coffee like I really wanted.
It's a big place, and I was there for a concert. Very clean and staff was helpful. The event room we were in was very nice, the choir had about 50 people in it plus over 300 guests. There was still plenty of room for even more and equipment if needed. Hotel staff were helpful in getting us where we needed to be on time!
Nice enough hotel. The location is great, being right downtown. The restaurant on site seems to be permanently closed, which is a bummer because there aren't many restaurant choices in the area. Though the Italian place across the street is very good. The rooms are standard fare. Hot water, a working TV, and free coffee. What else could a person need?
What a terribly embarrassing experience. We arrived an hour and a half after check in time to find out our room wasn’t ready yet and wouldn’t be for almost an hour later. We weren’t given any heads up or notification prior, nor were given any sort of accommodations. Not only that, but the man behind us was in the same situation but the front desk lady found him a room and when I asked to be given the same treatment he received, I was told that was the last room available. I had a crying baby that needed changed and fed. The public bathroom in the lobby did not have a changing table so I was forced to expose my baby and myself I’m breastfeeding in the very open lobby. It was humiliating. For a hotel that costs over $150 a night, I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here.
The hotel itself was pretty nice. The interior is really nice, and the service itself is great. They offer complimentary breakfast from 7-10 and it honestly wasn't bad. The issues come when it comes to the rooms. The sink didn't drain, and the stopper had to be pumped to get the water to go down. Also the shower dripped and would collect water because the drain stopper wouldn't stop properly. The bed was just ok. The pillows were questionable under the pillow cases. The tv provider that they had some of the channels didn't work and you had to use a guide channel like in the 90's instead of having an actual guide. Overall it wasn't bad for one nights stay.
Very nice and clean hotel. Great location and lots of parking. Only had one elevator and our room would not get cool. We would have changed rooms but we just stayed for the night. But besides that I would stay here again. Staff was very friendly.Rooms: 5/5
