University Suburban Health Center (USHC), an outpatient health center affliated with University Hospitals Case Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University, is home to 135 board-certified doctors, a lab, an imaging center & same-day surgery.
Physicians at USHC are on the staff of University Hospitals Case Medical Center and on the faculty at Case Western Reserve University, which is a quality indicator. In addition, USHC's physicians and their patients are supported by a full complement of excellent low-cost medical and surgical testing/services onsite. Its Wright Surgery Center is accredited by the Joint Commission, which is recognized nationally as a symbol of quality. USHC's comprehensive laboratory is certified by CLIA (a federall program that sets standards for labs) and by the College of American Pathologists (the premier lab-accrediting agency in the U.S.). The lab is supervised by a doctor who specializes in clinical laboratory testing and staffed by college-educated technologists who are certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. The lab's phlebomotmists are certified by national agencies that specialize in collecting blood and other specimens. USHC's Diagnostic Imaging Center has state-of-the-art equipment and is accredited and inspected by the State of Ohio, and its various technologies are accredited by either the American College of Radiology or the Society of Medical Sonography. University Hospitals' board-certified radiologists interpret the results and the department's radiologic technicians are fully licensed and credentialed in their respective specialties (CBone Densitometry, CT, Echocardiography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasonography and X-ray).
