I have no idea how this place is even open. The absolute worse I have ever seen. The most unorganized hospital I have EVER been too... No information is ever passed forward. It's clear that Management needs a serious overhaul. There's no words to explain how poorly this Hospital is managed. I will say there was a couple Nurses that were very good and professional, out of about 14 people I dealt withDr's and Nurses... 2 can't make up the shortcomings of the rest. A VERY good place to DIE!!!! I will NEVER go back. It was clear that I was lost in the shuffle several times with chest pain..... Simply no words.....
Joke of a discharge process! More than 8 hours waiting no information is passed. Another family member went to Wausau for open heart surgery and was discharged faster and more efficiently, will never go to this hospital and will tell everyone to bypass this place and go elsewhere!
Wanted to say thank you for the care I received. I raced in the Ore to Shore and crashed about halfway through. I kept going and finished but don’t remember anything until I was being taken from the ER to my room….a time frame of about 6-7 hours. After I crossed the finish line my friend noticed that I was disoriented and took me to first aid. They sent me to the ER. When we arrived my friend said that the ER staff was expecting us and handled the situation very well. I received thorough, professional, kind and caring treatment throughout the process from all involved. There will always be limitations and shortcomings in the healthcare process that can’t be controlled…the rarity in today’s world is kind and caring people doing their best to help overcome these challenges. I am grateful that I was able to experience this during my stay in the hospital.
Had an outpatient OR procedure today. Excellent care. All staff I dealt with were courteous and knowledgeable! The facility was clean and organized. Thanks UPHS Marquette! Keep up the good work!
My experience at Heart and Vascular has been the worst I've ever experienced. I have Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy and they treat it like it's nothing . You call and leave messages and no one calls you back. Send messages on the patient portal, no one gets back to you. This place is unbelievable. Dealing with HOC and stage 4 cancer has been very traumatic for me. Then have to deal with all these issues with no one calling you back. This just sends my anxiety right through the roof. I think it's time to go over to Bell-in Cardiologist at peninsula medical center on fair Ave in Marquette.
Worse experience while my dad was there. I'm not going to get into all the events. Although I will say he was not treated right nor was my family during his last couple days with us. Also they don't read orders, my dad was DNR and they didn't comply with his wishes. ICU was very nice and treated us like family during my dad's last couple hours.
I was treated in the ED, it was very efficient and staff & physician were very caring and helpful. Later I had surgery and again I was in excellent hands. Another appointment I had with the new pulmonologist Dr. Karulf was exceptional. He explained very clearly, spent a lot of time with me, was very thorough. All of my care from ED, to radiology, lab, physician office, surgical - everything was exceptional care. thank you!
Nightmare of a hospital. ER staff lie in medical records and violate patient rights. Deny medical care to patients. No one holds them accountable but in fact covers for them. Be real careful going there especially alone. If you must go to this hospital bring someone with that will do a good job advocating for you because the hospital staff will do terrible things if there are no outside witnesses to protect you.
I was taken I'm an ambulance from urgent care to the hospital due to a anaphylactic reaction where I could not speak or walk. No meds were administered in the ambulance, which would have been fine, but I was taken directly from the ambulance cot and put into the ER room upon arrival because there weren't any rooms open. Nobody acknowledged me for another hour while I sat in the waiting room. I thought coming in via ambulance was a clear indication that I needed help, and that it was urgent.
Extremely lazy and unprofessional staff. They do not check up on their patients. Makes them go 15+ hours without eating. Doesn’t update family or patients on the status of their surgery time. A patient should not have to get out of bed with an IV in just to get an answer as to why they’ve been waiting 8 hours to get into surgery. Absolutely ridiculous and would never recommend.
