I love shopping here because of the sales, but I’d be cautious when selling. Went in and dropped off my items. Was told to come back before close, otherwise my items would be donated. Totally fine. Came in 2 hours before they closed and the associates couldn’t find my stuff. They went out back and I can only assume they had left my bag outside. When asked, they said they didn’t put a tag on it and didn’t know if anyone was coming back for it, so they were donating it. Mistakes happen, I get it. But the associates didn’t apologize and some of the young girls working were laughing as this was going on. Didn’t give off professional vibes. I’ll shop here, but I definitely won’t be trusting them with my stuff again. I’d go to Plato’s closet or something, I sell to them all the time and I’ve never had an issue there.
This location used to be great… I thought I could trust the staff with their new drop off policy. The other day I dropped off a decent size bin of some nice fall/winter, office, and athletic clothing and some nicer barely worn shoes, they had 3 bins ahead of me. Of course they like for you to wait while they go through your bin/bags, and I understand that. But I didn’t have 1-2 hours to sit there. I thought the new drop off policy would be great. However the offer I received was kind of offensive. I wasn’t expecting a lot, I know the margins and what to expect from consignment. But I wasn’t expecting such a low offer. I did research before hand on what kinds of items to bring at what time of year, that week days are better than weekends, but this is the worst offer I’ve gotten in years. I feel like they took advantage of my trust.
I feel very uncomfortable every time I walk in this store. The wait times are always long when it comes to selling, and they don’t let you drop off anymore which inconveniences most people because we’re not about to walk around your store for an hour, and sometimes we can’t come back. I always feel like it’s always all eyes on me every time I walk in and not in a good way, and the guy that usually does the selling is not very personable at all. Last time I sold, I had a bag full of Michael Kors and Lululemon and Nike and he only chose like two items and gave me $40 for it. I would much rather take my business to Plato‘s closet!
Amazing place. Found beautiful brands at excellent prices. Sold a very good amount, love that they give to charity. The manager Sam was so helpful and nice!
I like this store and travel from NY to visit here. This time I brought some stuff to sell. 4 items were chosen from the 3 ikea bags I brought in. Surprised by that, but not upset because i immediately used my credit to get something I wanted. I was taken aback by the fact that it was immediately offered for my 3 ikea bags to be donated, if I’d wished. But I’m not going to donate my items to an organization whose business is thrifting. How am I supposed to be confident that my items are being donated to people in need and not thrifted? Overall, the experience was expected based on previous reviews. I’m mainly disappointed with the lack of costumer engagement and care. I usually don’t pay attention to reviews, especially about customer service because everybody has a different level of customer service satisfaction. But Mm-hmm is not a proper response to “thank you for your help”
Such a great place to shop! My family and I always have such a great experience shopping at the Acworth location! Will always be our first place to find clothes!
The clothes are well organized and clean and stylish. The staff is helpful and friendly! I go to the store at the Butler Creek Shopping Center near Kroger in Acworth/Kennesaw.
The last 3 times I have gone to sell clothes they buy nothing and tell me "the styles are outdated". I have 2 teenagers and I always take name brands. There were several items that were just bought last summer. The website says skinny jeans wanted- I took 5 or 6 pairs. They didn't buy one pair. Neither of the girls working greeted us and weren't friendly. I will have to find somewhere else to donate/sell. I keep giving them chances but am done. I take clothes to Kid to Kid sister company and 90% of my stuff is purchased.
I bought 2 bins of variety of clothing, and a bin of purses, 1 basket of clothes. I could not believe how the white young girl unfold all my clothes and then just threw then back into the bins. She stated that they did not have time to fold my clothes back and they don't take dress clothes. So untrue. Beware black people. This place is prejudice and the customer service is lousy. Not for me!
The gently used clothes are great for my fast growing son! But dropping off clothes is a different story. It's not really worth the money, but I've only dropped off clothes once.
