Friday, July 8th and Saturday, July 9th 2016
On July 8 & 9, 2016, the City of Urbana Parks and Recreation Department will host their Festival at Melvin Miller Park with the intention of repeating on an annual basis. We hope to draw the youth and their families from Champaign County and beyond to this event, showcasing our Park and Recreational Facilities, as well as increasing participation in our youth sports programs.
Currently, our confirmed events include a Huntsman Elite 3-on-3 basketball tournament, ODNR Division of Wildlife Passport to Fishing & Champaign County Bass Masters fishing derby, tennis tournament, Urbana Fire Division water games, Urbana City Pool party, Urbana celebrity dunk tank, craft and food vendors, Rocks and Ropes, NFL Punt, Pass & Kick, 4 on 4 co-ed sand volleyball tournament, disc golf tournament and more!
We inviting local businesses to represent themselves and participate in this event. Sponsor will be listed on all advertising and included in all press coverage. Sponsors will have the opportunity to host a booth to display products and distribute promotional coupons, etc.
Our office is only open by appointment, please call the phone number given to set an appointment up. The park is open from dawn to dusk for public use.
