I have gone for years to this post office and have enjoyed talking to the girls at the reception desk .Recently had a very distasteful and unpleasant experience she was rude, very slow and shoved the amazon box in my face. When i told the post master about my experience and demonstrated how impolite she was, she lied through her teeth saying she had not shoved the box in my face .It is a shame that Dawn And Sue who worked for years and were always pleasant are no longer there and have retired. The new hires and management is so sub par and way below the standard that we were accustomed too. I hope they improve there skills and learn better customer service. if I could give a negative rating I surly would.
Every time i order a purse it somehow comes up missing but, states it was delivered. The mail lady usually delivers packages to the doorstep but, everytime it is something expensive she claims to have left it in the mailbox and it is never there. She has even fraudulently signed for me and spelled my name incorrectly. I complained to the post master and they stated i would be able to pick up packages directly at the office yet they have failed to hold them there. By far the worst service ever. I know the lady is stealing from me but, cannot prove it. It’s a very sad situation
We are so fortunate to have this Post Office staff in our community! Our carrier Sue is phenomenal. I think our dogs like her more than us. The deliveries are on time, and we often get a call to make sure a delivery that is time sensitive was made from the local Postmaster. If I could rate them higher than Google's five stars, I would.
We absolutely Love our mail carrier Sue Holiday! She’s been delivering our mail for years now and when she is working, we have never had a problem with our service. She is kind, knows exactly what she’s doing and is always on time! However, when we have a different carrier, we don’t have a problem with the time it’s delivered but we’ve gotten other people’s mail and have had to go put it in the correct persons mailbox. I’ve had mail I was expecting and never received which makes me wonder if it was delivered to the wrong address and the person who got it didn’t bother to make sure they put it in my mailbox. The staff at the office is always kind to me when I come in. The one time I didn’t receive a package, I went in and told them that it showed that it was delivered from the company but I never received it and they said that the Post Master wasn’t available and would call me back. He NEVER called me back. The company I dealt with was very accommodating and sent me another package which I did receive. I don’t know what we would do if our mail carrier retired because it’s rare to get someone who is this fantastic! Update I order from Amazon and 99% of the time I get packages on time. However this past Saturday I was expecting a package and we were home all day and it never came. I got a text from Amazon saying the post office was unable to deliver because they couldn’t access the front door. First off, I got mail in the box on the street. My regular carrier wasn’t working and whoever was delivering must not wanted to do their job and put it in the box or pull in my large driveway. Now I have to track down where my package is. Very annoying to know that I cannot count on my delivery if my regular carrier isn’t working. I have tried to call and it loops you around and you can’t get a live person on the phone.
Update 2/22/19: Today was the second time that this branch has failed to deliver packages and then marked them online as "undeliverable" because they couldn't access my mailbox, front door, or driveway. The message online also said to look for a note from the carrier at my house. I work from home and watch for the mail. The carrier placed letters in the mailbox today. I belive this is an issue where USPS is failing to meet the commitment with Amazon so rather than looking like it is their fault, they enter into the computer that it is the customer's fault. I especially belive this to be true because they did this during the polar vortex as well. They didn't even deliver mail for a few days, so obviously it wasn't my fault they didn't deliver. Why not just leave it in the system as out for deliver or update the expected delivery date? It is very frustrating that they're placing the blame on me and confusing as well because I don't know if I need to go to the post office to get my package or just wait until tomorrow since no note was left. Update 11/18/18: Issue seems to be resolved, but at this point it could either be because of USPS resolution or simply because I've almost closed the estate and do not receive much if any important mail in my father's name any longer. Very dissapointed in this whole situation. Update 4/19/18: Went in today to discuss the issue at hand. After waiting for them to research the issue in the back of the shop, the employee who was assisting me advised that they see no hold on the mail, but they will let my carrier know. She also said it could be an issue with sorting at their Bedford facility where they are rejecting it prior to it reaching Crete as I previously had mail forwarding on. I am still overall unhappy and am worried I will continue to not get mail. I will update again once I see the outcome of today's visit. Original review: Very unhappy with this location. My father passed away about a year ago. When the mail forwarding ended I went in and asked that they please go ahead and deliver to his home in Crete as I have possession of the house and will be up there regularly as I am moving in soon. They had me write my name, address and phone number on a scrap of paper and said they would resume service. Fast forward two months and I just received a call from the woman who manages billing for the subdivision's water and trash stating Crete has returned the water bill to sender AGAIN. If the post office had told me that they would have a problem resuming delivery I would have taken appropriate action back then. -unhappy future resident
I’ve had several different mail men and women over the years. My favorite is Anthony, but if he’s on vacation whoever is on the route is always pleasant also. The ladies that run the interior of the post office are always friendly and help me fumble my way through the process of sending boxes or letters. Cheers and Thanks for being there day in and day out.
MY HOME BUSINESS IS FAILING MISERABLY, DUE TO REFUSAL TO DELIVER TO THE DOOR!!!!! Enough is enough! On the East Exchange street route, the driver on this route will "NOT" deliver to the door! All of our neighbors have the same issue, and we had ENOUGH! She writes a ticket, "no one home" which is B.S....... we're both retired, my husband wheels himself around in a wheel chair. One of us is "ALWAYS" home. Or she'll say "NO ACCESS TO RESIDENCE".... WHAT????!!!!! No such issue!!! Amazon is filing a legal complaint as of today. Good! Well deserved and justified! When I go to our bank, which is next door to the Post office, there is good 'ol' Martin the head postmaster talking away on his cell phone! Every single time! Are you kidding me? I have my phone videos to prove it. Yet, when people come in with a complaint, he's never available. Check the outside back door people! You'll always find him there....having a good 'ol' time on his cell phone, while getting "PAID" on company's time!! We're all moving forward to the proper authorities with this issue. We have enough of support and proof from the neighborhood. If you have the same issue, PLEASE....... speak up!!! E-N-O-U-G-H!!!!!
This is literally the worst post office I've ever ran into. Let me start with they've accidentally ran into my mailbox 3 times crushing it and haven't replaced it once and just left a note with the person saying sorry it's in a row of mailboxes and mine always is the one to get hit . 99% of my packages don't get delivered and the 1% that does is completely smashed or opened. I have to call more than once to the office to find my packages. This previous delivery I checked online where it was cause it's time sensitive/fragile materials and they said they left a notice there was none. The mail never comes at a steady time or never comes at all. Again WORST POST OFFICE EVER! They owe me money for 3 mailboxes and now my time sensitive materials are probably bad.
I just don't understand why I don't receive the weekly grocery ads and coupons that sometimes come in the paper on Thursday. I've complained on the phone before, and was told they run out of them occasionally. But Steger never runs out and their ads are delivered with their papers on Wednesday. I hate to blame the letter carriers, as their service is usually fine, but it must be someone's fault.
I complained several times about my postal person in after several phone calls with the postmaster it appeared to be okay. she can pick up certain objects although I paid for it to come to my house. Now the new thing is I'm getting notices of certified mail, nobody never rang my doorbell and I have the ring video doorbell camera.
