Post office failed to scan package dropped off at their package chute inside the front door. Package is now lost. I have no record of it going out and USPS online says the tracking number is not valid. If you use Click n Ship, make sure you wait in line at a post office to get your package scanned. Otherwise, 50% of the time, if package is dropped off in the package slot, it will not be scanned by an employee there, or at the main post office. Also. Click n Ship is a service that is not supported or connected to USPS offices. They only thing they can rely on is the tracking number. And if it's not scanned, they are not responsible. Filing a claim through click n ship is a nightmare and they say that I never sent the package, so now I am out $100 for shipment and the items shipped. This is the second time this has happened. USPS has lost my business.
This post office has lost/ misdelivered 5 packages/ envelopes in under one year..including my tax returns. And everytime they say, were sorry..nothing we can do about it. Did nit even reimburse me when I paid for insurance. Avoid this location and if you live in ST Johns see about having your mail delivered way else.
By far the most helpful usps post office I have been to yet. Many thanks to Daniel who accepted my package although I was late by a minute.
Love my local USPS! I go in often to ship packages and pick up stamps, everyone is always so friendly and helpful - even when the line gets a little long. Had a friend in town that needed to ship a baby shower gift that got left behind and the person who helped us made sure we picked the most cost efficient option since no one else was around. I always prefer going here, even when I end up closer to other locations
A bunch of fun people to deal with when I have to go into the post office. I do watch customers having tantrums because they can't just have the mail apprear where they want it and have to pay for 2 day delivery and get mad that up to 10 day shipping time means it could take up to 10 days for the package to get there... You get what you pay for. But I have never had a bad experience at this location. Often laughing with the employees and always in and out quickly.
I visit this post office frequently, and in my experience, the employees are very nice- sometimes it is busy, or understaffed, but no one has ever been rude. On one specific occasion, I was waiting on a delivery that had been lost in the mail- it was over a week late, but the morning of my moms birthday it was her homemade gift, I got a notice that it was out for delivery- but I was traveling that morning to see her. Alfred Hilliker, who works at this location, spoke to me on the phone and I explained my situation- he searched high and low until he found my package for me- and then he went above and beyond, to make sure I got it- he hand delivered it to my door right before I was set to leave. It was not expected, but thanks to him, I got the package on time and was able to give her her gift that day. Thank you, Alfred!
I love this post office for the simple fact that they care about their customers. I needed a package delivered on a certain day and they were about to close and the drivers were already gone, but the man on the phone i really wish i could remember his name offers to bring my package to me personally before he goes home. That was the sweetest thing ever, he got to my house in less than 15 minutes, THAT is amazing customer service hands down. This was back in September, but i just remembered to write this review. Interesting... the reviews for this post office range from 1 star to 5 stars. I have been here several times and can agree with both divergent reviews. As with all post offices, it depends on the time of day you get there and their staffing at the time you get there. I've stood in line for over 30 minutes before and at other times I've walked right in with no wait too. Also, sometime the staff are friendly and helpful, and other times they act like they hate you and wish they were anywhere but working at the post office. So going to the post office is always a surprise... you never know what kind of service or help you are going to get.
They don’t scan packages in for two days at least it seems :
True the people who work inside this location are great, that cannot be said for the people who deliver to Sauvie Island! Several times now deliveries have been returned based on "door or driveway unacceptable". There are no gates or menacing dog...and I'm home.
