FIVER STARS FOR NORMAN. Norman is such a kind and efficient worker. I usually bring around a lot of mail and Norm never makes any snarky remarks the way other workers have. Thank you Norm, you make my visit at the post office very pleasant! :
Lost my package. “ still being investigated”Should of insured it for more but they wanted $5 for every $100. I shipped another package similar to this one with UPS and got full coverage up to $500 +2 days shipping for cheaper than they were charging for regular shipping. Never again
Seriously Freeport only one person working the front window on a Saturday. Clearly, there were other people there since you could hear them chatting and laughing in the back. After waiting for 20 minutes another person came to the front, needless to say that was for a brief time. Monday to Friday there is enough staff for the windows to be opened. Sounds like there is a serious scheduling problem. An hour to mail a package...not acceptable. Would have loved to have taken a picture of the people wrapped around the lobby but wanted no issues since it is a government building. I have never had a complaint and service was always excellent but this was shameful. I gave 2 stars only because the woman taking care of everyone stayed calm even as the line steadily grew. Kudos to her. Thumbs down to management.
Nice staff, no lines this morning. Great place, has a beautiful mural inside.
I received a package today, which was left in the hall of my building, on a radiator. The package was marked Fragile. The contents was spilled all over the box. I am so upset that I didn't even call the person who sent it.Freeport post office is the worst.
I accidentally let my P.O. box close and the cashier I was speaking to was very rude to me because I must have had too many questions. She called for a supervisor with a nasty tone. The supervisor was very nice and calm and after she cleared things up with me I asked if I could finish my transaction with a different cashier. The other lady was WORSE, maybe she was mean because I complained about her friend I don’t know. But I tried to get through the transaction and I asked her why my bill was 84 dollars, 56 for the box, 22 for the fee I’m thinking tax? So she says “i don’t know” and then I see the receipt says 6$ for key deposit and I said if it’s a deposit why didn’t I get 6$ back when I gave you my key. She picks my key up and throws it down and says very loud and aggressively “this is garbage key!” . Both women were condescending and rude and think they’re better than me screw this I wish I didn’t pay the box. The nice male supervisor Jamie promised he’ll handle it but I still need to write this Bc women like that don’t belong in a us post office dealing with the public. I went in there confused about policies and all they both did was make me feel stupid. Go work somewhere else and let someone have that job that won’t yell at a customer that their key is garbage.
If you have a choice - go somewhere else. After a 30min line wait for the counter to ask about the status of a package I sent out from this location I was told to wait aside for someone- who after 10min never showed up and so I left. I know they are usually really busy at noon, but I cnanot overlook the rudeness. Attendant even glanced my way several times without saying a word.
The wait is always long when I go here
Freeport post office is the worst I sent a package thru them on 10 /21 and it was only picked up at 10/26 in my office letters have been returned to my customers undeliverable. items get lost all the time.
The United state post services lost a package and they are being very silly telling me to tell Ebay so I can get a refund, the company who lost my package was you ! If by any chance Ebay helps the customer the post office services is just taking advantage of the situation they dont like to be responsible and by the way the reason Most people get emails from different companies is because the post office sell you info the post office is no to service the people is a company with a tricky name.
