New Windsor post office is the best local post office I’ve ever encountered. The delivery people are friendly, the post office employees are very kind and willing to work with you, and they are able to adjust during extenuating circumstances. I’ve been waiting for over two weeks for my package to leave IL, and I received it less than two hours after New Windsor post office received it from the area distribution center. Can’t thank them enough for their impeccable service
They refuse to answer phone calls. There is no way to speak to them about any issues without driving to the office and then waiting on a line. Absolutely unacceptable.
Service is always bad and has been for many years. Yesterday my mail carrier delivered a package by throwing it 10 feet onto my porch which I saw on camera. It's not worth complaining to management because the USPS just doesn't care.
I hate that they treat the elderly with meaness look at the photo I posted I came home to find out going mail box taped shut.. I am contacting the authorities this is a federal offense by a federal postal employee. I better be able to put my out going mail out.
I am sending my formal complaint to the USPS Office of the Inspector General since this PO repeatedly states that they delivered my mail and packages when they didn't which constitutes fraud and theft of mail. No one answers the phone and the lady at the front desk clearly hates life and everyone who walks through the door.
I've been going to this post office for over 15 years and I can only speak of my experiences which have been excellent. The staff has always been informative, helpful, and patient with me as I learned the ins and outs of mailing. This was especially helpful when I started my own eBay store a few years ago. I've only ever had one issue where my package wasn't receiving updates with the tracking information. Otherwise, I've had nothing but positive things to say about the staff and am thankful for their help.
The people who run the actual office in town are wonderful. They know their jobs and are happy doing it. But the people who deliver the mail can’t seem to figure their jobs out. They are incessantly leaving packages at the wrong addresses. You don’t get hem. $300 with of packages left at 29 instead of 75. Thankfully the guy who got them was honest and got in his truck and found me. With most Amazon packages and mail, that would not happen. But why is our post man so inept???
There's 4 people in line. Another postal worker comes and help her friend who was next in line, then she closes the register walks away like she didn't see all of us in line waiting too. Now the line has 6 people with 1 register open.
The manager and most all the employees are incredibly rude and incompetent. The mail carriers take no pride in their work throwing packages at the house and in the mud. They are obviously too lazy to leave their vehicles. When I spoke to the post master about this reoccurring issue he was rude and dismissive. There’s a sign to leave packages at the front porch…apparently those 10 steps are too much for the lazy driver; since mail is just thrown in the driveway. Have some consideration for those handicap that are not mobile enough and struggle to pick up that package!
Extremely rude and unprofessional. Someone should be reading these reviews and look into this branch. I think because they are Civil Service workers they think they have job security so they don’t have to have good customer service. This office needs a clean sweep with its staff including the supervisor. The fish rots from the head.
