This place has by far the worst service of any post office or shipping service of any kind I've dealt with anywhere. I have dealt with them three times and every time it is a major hassle. The first time they outright refused to accept my package which was likely incorrect, the second time they argued with me profusely and told me I was incorrect and it was likely that my package wouldn't reach the destination but ultimately accepted it, and the last time of course I was prepared to deal with the nonsense and they accepted both packages but still after a lot of arguing and back and forth. All three times I've gone I've dealt primarily with the same person, and she could care no less about customer service or customer concerns. Multiple times when they've argued with me about my package being too large dimensionally or too heavy I've I've tried to show them article references from their own company but they refuse to read them or just look at their own reference materials to validate. They are extremely confused by USPS parcel select ground and shipping partner companies like eBay who provide those labels to consumers like me; they cannot seem to understand that commercial shippers have different package restrictions than an average consumer walking into the post office, and that a consumer working with eBay is essentially a commercial shipper when using an eBay generated label. The icing on the cake was my experience today where as soon as my packages were picked up I was getting hassled about them being too heavy; she weighed one box and claimed it was over 70 lb even though the manufacturer says on the side of the box gross weight is 27 kg or about 59 lb. She said it will not even scan for acceptance blah blah blah and I argued and finally she scanned it and said it was accepted because of an "exception". The postal manager who witnessed all of this said to "add the surcharge" and send it. When I got to my car and looked at the receipt both packages only weighed 59 lb, exactly like the manufacturer stated - they lied directly to my face and I didn't even notice when I was standing there! I made a point to tell the workers that I was primarily upset with the one employee I have been dealing with because of the lack of concern and attempt to understand their own policies, and at that point the manager / postmaster Beverly T jumped in and said if I have any issues I should speak directly with her next time. I asked her on the spot if she wanted me to elaborate on my story and give her all of the details and also if she wanted me to pull up the reference article I was referring to in numerous conversations with her stuff so her employee could be educated. I shouldn't be surprised but of course she refused to hear any more of what I had to say or even take the reference number of the article I was referring to...... It all makes sense now, the culture at this location comes from the top down and as long as Beverly has a saying that no one will care about any customer or any level of service even remotely acceptable. What kind of manager would ask a customer to talk to them about their concerns and then not even 10 seconds later refuse to talk to that exact customer about their concerns?
Had a misunderstanding when a carrier came to my house in an unmarked vehicle and took a package from my mailbox, I went to the post office to confirm it wasn’t them. I was met by the rudest staff including the supervisor of the office who was very defensive, argumentative and showed ZERO concern for her community. In 2023 when people steal, commit ID theft, this post office is only concerned with the minimum and what’s “technically not required”
It's one of the best post offices. For some reason, small towns always have the best people working here. Passport Appointment was fast and easy. The mail delivery in the area is extremely efficient. They always come within delivery windows. And the carriers are friendly. Very nice place! I live between lakeland and polk city, and I would MUCH rather come here.
Nice little country post office. Just a basic one with few services. Last mail goes out at 4:30 pm. Plenty of parking. Seems fairly new facility. Go to Lakeland for a bigger full services post office.
The staff at this location are EXTREMELY rude, condescending and unprofessional. The worst experience I have ever had with any postal office. If your that unhappy with your choice of employment maybe it’s time to look for something that your happier with.
Nena is a hard worker fast and Multitask very good
I set an appointment for my passport online. I arrived a little early and they didn’t make me wait. Flew through the process and were very professional. Explained the process in detail and we’re excellent.
Terrible customer service from the male manager and female employee at the front desk. They close their doors by 4:29 and get a terrible attitude when you knock on the door at 4:30 to drop off a PREPAID package. If they would add a larger drop box, I would GLADLY NOT BOTHER THEM. Definitely not 'small town friendliness' and I will be driving to Lakeland or Clermont to do business from now on.
Not busy,staff vert helpful
Owner is rude does not no what he's doing! He's not nice at all to talk to. He explained to me that my package would be forwarded to my house sense the 12th and it was not it had to travel all the way to Jacksonville before I can pick it up. I will not go back unless I have to.
