No one answers the phone and I called the main us post office number, the 1800 number to ask my question instead. I told them that no one answers the phone in Lima. They reported the Lima post office. Wasn't me but the actual agent said that's not right. They have to answer their phones. She reported them. Also they say they are open in Elida on Saturday, they aren't a lot of times. She also reported that because if you have the hours down you need to be open. Just close the Elida one on Sat. Otherwise people go thinking they are open. Ridiculous.
Understaffed, No one answers the phone. I left some outgoing mail in my mailbox that was addressed to previous owners of my current house and put "no longer residence here". Instead of taking that mail and sending it back, they then marked my residence as vacant and stopped sending mail to my house period. All of my packages and bills were getting sent back to senders. No one answered the phone so I went in on lunch break and waited 20 minutes in line to be told they would look for my packages but were short staffed so they couldn't promise me anything. Ended up filing a report on their website and still haven't heard back. Absolutely terrible service, post office is understaffed, no one answers the phone, and be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes in line as there is only one person working the counter at all times.
Severely understaffed. Service is horrible. If you are thinking about getting your US Passport processed here, think again. You can never get through to the Passport office by phone, and even if you schedule the appoinment online, don't count on someone being there to service the appointment. Go to one of the outlying post offices in either, Delphos, Ada, or Wapakoneta
They are understaffed but there is a very nice lady named Anne who does a wonderful job. She's the glue that keeps the place
The lady at the counter wouldn’t even listen to me even though she sat there and chatted with another lady buying stamps for a good 5 minutes. She looked up my tracking number and just said it probably wasn’t there it would’ve been returned to sender even though both websites said it was being held there. Wouldn’t look at anything just said it probably wasn’t there because I sent it to my mom’s house where ALL of my mail and packages are always sent and always have been sent and then looked straight past me and said she could help the next person. Never had to deal with this post office before and I understand it’s an overwhelming time right now but to not even be treated like a person is infuriating.
Hardly ever get my packages. They either leave them at the post office for me to pick up or Steal them. If I actually do get my packages they're halfway opened. So I'm guessing my postman doesn't have a kid because they never take the kid stuff. I just moved here last year and I have NEVER had such an issue with something as basic as mail. They never pick up the phone. Its truly ridiculous.
Not impressed in the littlest. Was supposed to have a package delivered with specific instructions as to where to leave it. I wait two days. Nothing. I go up Saturday and the lady behind the counter proceeds to tell me that Amazon is in the wrong about saying it was being held at their facilitie. However, if this lady had not gotten an attitude and tried to rush me she would've noticed that it wasn't the amazon website. It was their website. Now I have to wait another three days when she could've just searched like I had asked. I dont know your name lady but you need another class in customer service.
Called and spoke to customer service about a package to be delivered in Lima that hadn’t been scanned in at any point in the journey likely due to a faulty barcode, my fault. The rep was very understanding of my stress and provided an explanation as well as the reassurance that it would be manually keyed in either when it arrived at the office or when it was delivered. Sure enough, it was marked as delivered.
I’ve been there 5 times in the past ten days. One person at the window with long lines. I stopped my mail in April. Nobody there knows where it is. One lady said they probably sent it back. Then told me the post master would call me. Two weeks later and no call. Now, after about three days of getting mail it has stopped again. Waiting and I’m going out of town tomorrow. This has been a nightmare.
Shipping for my packages was paid for and shipped by FedEx I have no idea why it was sent to USPS for delivery. The first package was just left sitting on my porch no knock or anything . They say they tried to deliver the second package and left a notice I don't have a notice on my door, on or in my mailbox , hell they might of just sat that on the porch also . I'm home all day and no one has ever knocked the third package hasn't made it to town yet but I'm sure the same thing will happen guess I'll just have to be waiting at the door so my items won't be left on the porch or threw back on the truck
