Awful experience with the junction city post office. I moved into my new home 2 months ago- my mail was delivered to me just fine until they started withholding my mail. I visited the post office in person to discuss the issue of why I wasn’t receiving my mail, they let me know my mailbox was 13 inches to high and that I had a set amount of time to fix it. I explained to them that my mailbox was cemented into the ground and it was metal, so I would need some time to get it fixed. 2 or 3 days went by since my visit and They did not allow me the time to fix my mailbox and started sending it back. When I visited the post office again, the lady at the front was extremely confrontational and unprofessional. She told me I was the ONLY one in JC with a mailbox “problem” and that their post master said they could no longer hold or deliver my mail: I let her know I was just in a few days prior and I was told I would have time to fix it and she denied all of that. I asked if I could please see the documentation about the JC mailbox standards and also the notice about it they stated they put in my mailbox. She told me I could not see any of that. I asked if I could speak with the post master in which she denied me. I was told my mailbox could not be taller than 44 inches, however others in my same neighborhood have mailboxes taller than that but I am the only one who is not allowed to receive my mail. After I visited the post office the final time I went I informed her I would have my mailbox up that afternoon, and asked if I would receive my mail once that was up, she said yes. My mail is still not being delivered to my mailbox. I took pictures and measurements of my mailbox meeting their requirements. I stopped the mail lady one afternoon knowing it’s not her fault and just asked her about my mail. She informed me my mail was still on hold. My question to this facility is why am I the ONLY person being picked on about the height of my mailbox. Others in my neighborhood measured at the same height as mine which also puts them 13 inches to high!
Really disappointed on how CJ the post master handled my situation. I was just trying to figure out why one day my Mail was getting delivered and then the next it’s not so all I wanted was an answer and he was so rude and unprofessional it was mind blowing. I hope he can handle other situations better. Really disappointed
I am not understanding why this place has such low reviews. I just called about a package that wasn't delivered and they were very nice explaining and will send it out today. The person was polite and helpful. Way to go thanks for the help!!
New to the city and have had to do quite a bit of business using the post office and everytime i go in I'm treated very warmly like I've been a resident forever, I most definitely suggest going in and seing Shayla her customer service and personality is great!
I have had other people's mail delivered to me and vice versa. However, the first week of July a letter was sent from my disability and returned as "undeliverable". I was surprised as I had been receiving mail on a monthly basis for many years and now my mail is being returned as "undeliverable" except for the junk mail. I reside in Grandview Plaza.
After over 20 years of basically perfect service. The front desk people are always great but recently they lost a package. I'm not mad about that. I know it happens. All I wanted was something saying they didn't have the item and they could not prove that I indeed received it cause they couldn't- Lacey said they didn't have video footage and although she claimed they checked the ID it is only a visual check because they don't scan it. After going back and fourth and Lacey Sheppard supervisor changing the story from we left it in a parcel locker to- we signed it out over the counter why would they do that they sent me two emails basically saying they signed it out to me. So ultimately I'm out the money and product. Again, not mad about that but the way she handled the case was very shady. Lacet even said they had a lot of new employees and admitted that it was possible someone put the parcel key or yellow pick up note in the wrong box. The person involved with this from the very beginning was Lacey. Now going to the post office is awkward and if I ever have a problem, she will not be the one to help. From the very beginning she did not return calls like she said she would. I had to show up in person every time. Why even write my number down lady. In my opinion she is untrustworthy.
I have the informed delivery and missing a piece of mail! They don’t really care and don’t help, just say to click the “did not receive” button on it. I tried to ask and many people said they would leave a note for the postal lady and then I never hear back. The in-store services are fine usually! Kinda busy.
I have never had a super great experience with the post office, our last two duty stations the workers were very impersonal and rude. I wanted to make sure that this one and specifically Belinda knew just how great of an experience they provided. I’m high risk and my husband is deployed so she worked with me since we just moved here to set everything up and made sure I felt as comfortable with everything as can be. Thank you so much Belinda, you were a breath of fresh air during this crazy time in the world.
Very frustrating that every once in a while theres missing mail at my address. I have informed delivery on my phone that shows me my mail and almost everytime i go to my mailbox there is missing mail! Horrible service. Someone in this facility is stealing mail, i called usps i told them my address and the lady responds “ ohhh that address” “ yeah we have a problem that there is alot of missing mail from those apartments”. They need to fire the mil lady or whoever is stealing mail on thier part!! I’ve had the same problem at Washington courts apt
When did the postal carrier get to decide I don't live at my address? Every time I order a package the carrier doesn't deliver it as scheduled and then leaves a note saying I need to change my address even though I live at the address printed on the deliveries. Meanwhile if it's an envelope the deliver is fine. I would like to see the carrier that delivers to my address fired.
