Ridiculous branch and staff . Tuesday is walk-in passport day till 4.30 , see video nobody is there and still didn’t take application.
Came to drop off a letter at 8am opening time had 6 people in line ahead of me with the doors locked. Waited until 8:23am to open despite the many voices heard on the other side of the wall laughing. Once opened, no words were said... not hello, how can I help you, good morning, thank you for your patience, apologies for the wait, nothing. It is really sad that customer service is really non-existent and completely disregarded.
Just had a very pleasant experience in the Newington Post Office. Ricardo assisted me this morning. He was friendly, patient and an overall pleasure. Thank you.
Another post office canceled my passport appointment last minute and the newington office was the only one who would make time to process our appointment that day. Scott was very kind and super helpful. We really appreciate it!
Management is rude to their own staff and it always takes forever for someone else to help out when the line is long, yet you can always hear people talking and laughing in the background. Today, an employee asked for a lunch break, and the manager literally snapped her fingers at the employee while saying "Excuse me!" I don't even understand how this post office stays open with how rude they can be and how understaffed they are. I usually use the machine, but today I couldn't, and I was reminded why I'd be better off driving an extra 20 minutes or so out of my way to go to a different, much better post office. It's sad because my mailman is awesome, but the customer service at the post office is often lacking and almost always due to management.
Shouldn’t have to wait in line 10+ min when 1 person is in line but this is a common occurrence here
always liked this post office. what mean reviews over such petty stuff, from people who obviously don't work long hours with the public. Read one bad review and multiply that times 250 for one day, that's what you have to deal with working with the public, the awful crabby entitled public that hates to wait for anything for more than three point five seconds. Can't believe someone even called out a 'black lady'!! This isn't 1920, eesh. Catch up. But last night the kiosk wasn't working in the lobby, it was on but needs to get rebooted or something, touch screen didn't work at all.
Worst Post Office in the area, staff is horrifically rude and unhelpful, one lady in particular is amazingly rude and utterly useless at her job. Meanwhile the mailman will never manage to pick up our outgoing mail no matter how obvious it is placed in our mailbox for him. And we have also caught him gossiping with the neighbors about us because he is super loud and is on his phone while doing his mail route. Generally, this place is terrible.
Incredibly rude woman sitting in the front left, when I went to ask about passport information. She was extremely stand-offish from the start and didn’t want to assist customers. When I asked her about the process she threw a label towards me and said you do it yourself. Then I said are you able to take passport photos, she looked at me like I was bothering her and said it’s $15, I replied ok no problem she rolled her eyes and signed. Again like I was inconveniencing her by asking her to take a passport photo. Do not recommend this post office unless you enjoy a huge attitude when you greeted them with a smile.
I’ve never had any issues at this post office. Staff have been friendly and courteous. I’ve witnessed professional behavior even when people brings lots of packages, ask for a lot of help and when there have been more than 4 or 5 people waiting in line. I asked and was able to speak to a supervisor regarding a policy & time was made for me. It’s close & convenient too!
