My mailbox was hit and damaged from the postal worker on Christmas Eve, so nice. I called for months asking for someone to repair and now they are denying they did it even though I had four people at my house that all witnessed it. I’ve called at least five times since the incident and have never gotten a straight forward response from the numerous supervisors I’ve spoken to. Filed a complaint online which they now are denying after months of run around. And now they send me a notice that I need to repair the mailbox after they did the damage? Unbelievable.
Stopped in this morning for passport services, Stephen was extremely professional, efficient and had an award winning personality! He was very friendly and was in a great mood! He appeared to genuinely enjoy his job and he knew his way around which leads me to believe he has been around for a while. While Stephen helped me, Sam helped additional patrons with a similar positive attitude. These two demonstrate exemplary customer service and set the bar very high for other USPS employees!
Absolutely ridiculous. I have mailed two items to a different part of state over the last 2 months and it has taken over a week. My last piece was mailed on 6/13 and it still has not been received. You guys are a joke!
Lobby is open but there are no machines to purchase stamps or other services to jail a letter or package. In this day and age there should be self automated machines for us. The lobby is pretty but enjoy of services.
Our neighbor just called to say he had all of our mail today. Our names are nothing alike and yes different house number
Needed help on a busy "Amazon Sunday" in Norwich Ct. Needed my packages because I was leaving town. Supervisor Christian was a wonderful help. She got the job done. An additional supervisor J. J. stopped in on his day off to help get things done. These two are to be praised. I'm sorry I don't have their last names but they are from the Norwich, Ct. Hub. Thanks so very much for help. This was a must get it done by today and it did.
The mail delivery people in Norwich dictate when they feel like delivering mail. The mailman on my route, Dustin, stopped bringing mail 2 weeks ago without notice. He had a litany of complaints I’ve never heard about. He’s been terrorized by my 3-LB Maltese & Dachshund. Poor guy. I’m being sarcastic. They’ve never attacked him or anybody else. They bark @ him because they don’t like him. In the years I’ve lived here, Dustin is the ONLY mail carrier amongst many who’s had an issue with my two dogs. Meanwhile, he parks his mail truck wherever he feels like & delivers mail to neighbors who’s mailboxes are closer to my yard than my actual mailbox. The individuals who work at the actual post office in Norwich are phenomenal. They’ve been more help to me than “supervisors.”
I went there on January 29th 2020, around 3:30 pm . A very nice lady named Debbie waited on me . I had 2 mails that I wanted to send as priority , she took the time to explain to me all the options available . She did not rushed me to make a decision . I was very anxious because in a few days ill be going in Jamaica for my sister's wedding , so there fore I wanted those mails to arrive before a certain date . She shared with me some of the new policy regarding passport holder . She is fantastic ! I worked in retail for many years , I can tell when a person had customer service . During our whole conversation she had eye contact with me , her body language was open. She addressed my concerns in a professional manner . Overall I had a great experience . Thank you Debbie.
A beautiful classic building that blends in with downtown Norwich beautifully. The service for the postal service here is great - the staff are extremely polite and considerate, taking a good amount of time to serve your requests and handle them in a relatively timely manor. The only waiting done here is due to existing lines as one to two stations are open at any time. I prefer running here instead of any other locations for dropping off my mail.
Whoever delivers to our house is always leaving our packages out on the road by the mailbox. They're crammed between my neighbors mailboxes, just on the side of the road and even IN my neighbors mailboxes with a written note saying it was for us? I don't know who I can contact about that but I'm really tired of all our packages being left on the side of the road for anyone to just take, being left to weather or being put in other mailboxes because they didn't want to drive up to our house.
