I asked a vein clinics representative over the phone to schedule an appointment. The representative stated that the Fort Myers location which was nearest to me, was not in net work with my insurance. She said instead to drive here to this location because this location is in net work with my insurance. I drove about 4 hours round trip maybe more. I got to the office and talked with the staff and even they had me believe my insurance was in net work. A few days ago I got a bill in the mail stating my insurance is out of network and I have a bill over 1,000 dollars. Not only is this fraud, but I requested the recorded phone conversations between me and the individual that I spoke to. So far, no response. What a terrible way to run your business.
*FRAUDULENT PRACTICE* I called to make sure this place worked with my insurance company and they said yes Then I got a bill for over $1000, for just a medical consultation I didn'teven do the procedure. This place is scamming you and your insurance company. The should be shut down for FRAUD!!
This practice is unbelievable. I went in for a consultation that I was told included an ultrasound and paid what they told me to pay. Waited for 6 months to hear back about my insurance coverage. After I called them and was told insurance won’t cover it, I told them that I still want to proceed and I will pay. Was told they will try with the insurance again. Ok. Again did but hear back. I wasn’t going to chase them so I did not proceed. Ever since I’m hit up with a bill for $600 for my ultrasound that they never told me I would be billed for separately. I was told the consultation included the ultrasound which I paid $200 for. Now they want another $600. Total bait and switch. I only gave two stars because I like the Dr. At that time.
Horrible company to work for.. If I could give them a zero star I would . They are never reliable on communication..they are a corporate company located in Illinois. The owners Dr Flora Katsnelson and her partner/husband are some of the worst employers I have worked for. I honestly do not know how they are still in business. They work fraudulently to make sure people get treatment that are not necessarily qualified for due to their condition. IE: when the ultrasound texts are trained. They are trained to just make the vein look bigger than it is to have it covered by insurance. In order for their company to make money, they are falsifying numbers to have insurance companies pay for procedures to be completed.. it is a very shady business. I had the unpleasant experience of working with this company. They also send you to different states for training which they pay for. However, you are in charge of paying for all of your meals and travel and then are reimbursed at some point which can take 2 to 3 months to get that reimbursement done. It's just not a good company to work for. The doctor's and US techs are all working for this one company that is making them do things they shouldn't be doing.
The Dr she's from Colombia speaks both English and Spanish very professional explains all procedure's very well staff amazing very clean recommendation for sure A+
I have spent 5 hours total 3 visits in this office waiting in the front and have never even received a single treatment! How do you like that??!!! I found them in Groupon, but to be nice, I offered to pay directly to the office. Every time I came , I notified them about it and they didn’t mind. Every time I would spend 2 hours in the waiting room and after waiting they would say that the doctor is not there. And today I finally met the magical doctor and she refused to treat me after I waited again 2 hours!!! How do You like that???!!! Doesn’t it sound kind of crazy??!!! I understand the front desk girl, but if doctor treats you like you are nothing, what kind of a place is this??!!! Terrible customer service, terrible everything. The worst place ever! Don’t waste your time. If I could I wouldn’t even give them one star.
*FRAUDULENT PRACTICE* I was told I was getting a free consultation to see if I qualified for the procedure. They are poachers calling asking you to come in for a free consultation. Then I got a bill for over $1000, I didn'teven do the procedure. This place is scamming you and your insurance company. The should be shut down for FRAUD!!
I got confirmation for my 1st appointment saying that they were under the network for my insurance and my appointment would only be $40 copay which is the specialist copay. 3 months later I get a bill for $234. I wasn't told that the visit did not include the ultra sound that was done on my legs., plus they are charging another $40 for a total of $80 copay. Whenever I have been to any specialist, if there is something that needs to be billed separate from the copay, they tell me what the amount will be if I haven't met my deductible. That didn't happen at this location. They performed a leg ultrasound that very first day and didn't mention that I would have to pay for it because I hadn't met my deductible. When I called the office and ask to speak to an office manager for the Hallandale location, it was impossible, its still impossible and it will always be impossible. They transferred me to the billing department and I spoke with Daisy. She said since I hadn't met my deductible I had to pay it, which I completely understand but they didn't follow the proper protocol of letting me know first. I had no clue that it wasn't covered with my first visit because they didn't say anything.....Be careful because if you just got to a 1st appointment, they don't want just your copay, they want more than that, they bill quietly without letting you know you'll bet a bill later. We all know if we haven't met our deductible, we must pay the contracted amount, but as I repeatedly told her, I was not aware that this exam was done and billed separately from the copay and I had the right to decide if I wanted to do it or not, they were supposed to let me know like any other doctor's office does. Till today, 4 months have passed and my credit is going to get screwed. When I tried going there directly to talk to an office manager, they were busy and had me wait because I didn't have an appointment and all I wanted was to do, was speak to the office manager. After an hour I had to leave. Nothing resolved.
I don't recommend this place at all. I went there on May 6th to have a consult to treat my spider veins. First, they gave me somebody else's report at the end of the appointment and when I realized it, I called to have mine mailed to me; it never arrived. Second, they charged $120 days later to the credit card I used when I was there. When I called to ask, they said it was an error of the system and I got the money refunded. Last, they charged twice my $50 copayment and I haven't been lucky with this issue. I went there again to claim a refund, but I was told I needed to call the billing department. I did it twice, both times I was told they were going to call me within 48 hours to solve the problem and I am still waiting on that. It is really a shame they are sooo disorganized. I can't trust in this place to treat any health issue. They are not serious and it looks like if they don't know what they are doing.
Reception and appointment organization is the worst ever. I came after the consultation with the doctor for the treatment. My treatment was scheduled for 2.00 p.m. and I was waiting without any info for 30 min with just one patient in the office, while the receptionist was having lunch and when she got back to me she told to wait until she proceeds all the payment questions. I refused to deal with her as she didn't give any explanation why I am waiting for so long I was blamed for spoiling her lunch in a very emotional way. She told me that I have a bad attitude. I was offered that time by the clinic as the only one available for treatment. Why should I care about someones schedule and lunch? When I asked to speak to the manager. I was told that she is also a manager. 2.45 I left, I asked to speak with a doctor, cause I was quite nerves after the "welcome". The other receptionist told me that the doctor will not talk to me until I pay and they prepare me for the treatment. So I left with a feeling that I came here to beg them to treat me and take the money from me.
