*** UPDATED REVIEW *** I've been waiting on a package shipped via USPS... check out what Painesville did by the way, I am in Painesville Twp so Painesville is my post office. The package came from the Mentor Post office to the Painesville Post office with my address on it and Painesville sent it back to Mentor. Gotta love the incompetence. We waited in the lobby for an hour - we had an appointment. Finally a supervisor came out and said that person called off sick. She should've told us an hour earlier. Now, I just received a text from USPS saying attempted delivery but no access to delivery location at 8:27pm. I've been here all day so that's a lie. Classic for the Painesville post office. Virtually useless.
I saw a Post Office mail truck filling up with gas at the Sunoco in downtown Painesville paying $4.20 a gallon when a mile in either direction it’s $3.69 in Painesville towards Perry and $3.84 at GetGo in Painesville east of town. This is a CRIME AGAINST the Tax payers. I demand they shop for the least expensive gas. This is why I do not use the post office. Get your financial books in order.
I believe they have thieves delivering mail every time a card is in mail always comes up missing Hmmm. So here we go again with the Inside clerk, checks in package asks what's in it, now it disappears. Sad people are so desperate that they must steal.
Painesville Post Office has changed their hours to allow you access to your P.O. Box. The signs says it closes 7p and will reopen at 6am. It was 7:30am and the doors still had not been unlocked. The postmaster answered the phone and said she would open the door. Instead, she and another co-worker walked right passed the doors and never came to unlock the doors. Very poor customer service! It’s so sad to see this office continue to go down hill.
Clerks always knowledgeable. Fast service. Clerks both personal and professional. Highly recommend.
Ali is the best postal worker ever. She just walked through three feet of snow to deliver my mail. The "man" yesterday walked right down the street. She is more a man than he is...And she is always cheerful and smiling when she delivers my mail. Most of them are good here, but there is one guy that is useless that does the neighborhood, should be fired. Did not even try to deliver a certified letter even though door was open, saw him just walk by.
Five stars for service, but I rated it 4 stars because they had to close the lobby and self service area during off-hours, for safety reasons. I relied on being able to drop off small packages and use the self-service machine during irregular hours.
Been working on an issue for a month, Brian was diligent and helped get it cleared up today! Hopefully will be delivered today or tomorrow. Thank you Brian! My niece will be thrilled even if the package is late! ;
MISSING multiple packages, UNHELPFUL & INCOMPETENT employees, delivery drivers DONT SCAN PACKAGES AS DELIVERED. Overall this post office is the WORST!!! Most recent problem: The original package was lost, no help from PO to locate it, then when a replacement was sent to me it made it to Painesville but i NEVER GOT IT. The most recent tracking said "returned to post office for re-delivery the next business day". I called post office to ask why, and was told it was accidentally put in the wrong truck that day but was at the post office and would be on the right truck and delivered the next day. It was NEVER DELIVERED. I waited another day and since it still didnt arrive so I called the post office again. They claimed the carrier had delivered it, even though the tracking did not show a delivery scan plus the package was NOT DELIVERED. When I asked when the tracking would be updated to reflect delivery as the driver claimed they delivered it, the lady at the port office HUNG UP on me. I called back multiple times throughout the day and no one ANSWERS the PHONE. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. This post office is completely UNRELIABLE. Would like to speak to someone higher up about these issues since the woman who works there is obviously not going to help me out at all.
