If I could give zero stars I would. The mail carrier steals your packages and mail. And the post master doesnt care. Even after the package that says delivered is seen on ring not being delivered they do nothing but say file a claim. Disgusting
The staff at this office are terrible! Rude, unhelpful, and condescending, not to mention LAZY! My normal carrier is great, but for some reason recently I've had issues with packages being open on arrival. I had 3 packages being delivered yesterday, 2 were delivered, the other says "unable to access for delivery"... How if the other two were delivered? Then today I get a mesg saying returned to sender. Why are these postal workers so incompetent?
Worse experience EVER! The girl was rude and impatient. There was nobody else in there and she was rushing us ALOT because she wanted to go to lunch. This post office needs new staff ASAP never coming here again. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
I only give it two because everytime I go into the post office i get really great customer service. I had a package delivered and not even a day after I missed the item they are sending it back it’s literally already in Elk Grove make it make sense.
UPDATE: I've now had 4 things stolen by this place and I'm so sick of it! I am filing yet another police report, this is absolutely ridiculous. Be extra careful when you order your vehicle registrations, event tickets, or anything of value because there is a chance you'll never get them. THE absolute worst post office. I have had 3 things stolen by this place! Will probably be filing a police report very soon.
Absolutely appalled. Female employee working up front was exceedingly rude and disrespectful. I felt like it may have something to do with an explicit bias she may have. One of the supervisors sided with her without talking to me, upon my return to prove I plastered my name on the box and made sure it was in the correct manner the gentlemen that helped me was unfailingly nice, as was the new supervisor. They advised me everything looked correct and my package would be delivered. I had to take this all the way to corporate twice and finally got my package when the supervisors at the office were told they needed to release the package after proving I had bought the package and it was shipped to me. Took an extra week to do, it happened again about a month later. Thank god for USPS corporate. At least they straightened my issues out and told me they have multiple complaints about this office and an investigation would be started.
Recently, I ordered a package from overseas, and after following the tracking number, it was delivered. This was a gift, so I was anxious about delivery. A couple of days went by, and no updates with tracking. I called Chicago Heights Post Office, and was greeted politely & professionally. I explained my circumstances, and investigated my inquiries and, called me back with updates. Great news, the package/gift was delivered. I’m so very pleased with the service I received, and very thankful for all the efforts to help me. Well done Chicago Heights Post Office... Thank you! Phyllis T.
Cremation remains shipped express and was to be delivered Friday the 14th of Jan. We were home yet driver just left a tag at our mailbox at the road. Had redelivery the next day and no show. Called Post Office filed claim. No call back within 24 hours like told. Called company that shipped the remains and on their end it shows delivered but my tracking shows in transit and estimated time for delivery is the 13th of Jan. Still no straight answer from post office and not our first issue with Chicago Heights branch.
Terrible service. Items showing in informed delivery email never received. PostMaster does not respond. I have now filed a complaint with a department that investigates delivery issues. I think we should be able to file a police report. Someone there is stealing the mail, especially cards that might have money in them.
I went to this post office and was greeted at the door by a man in a Batman costume. He was nice and gave me a half eaten sandwich. Delicious mustardy. I even found free gum on the underside of the counter! How Nice! I even found 13 cents and a Tootsie Role on the floor! Amazing!!!
