This post office is the best. I refuse to go to other office now based on how kind and professional and knowledgeable these employees are. They helped me out with a weird mailing situation and weren’t pushy or rude. Both clerks were amazing. Thank you Northville P.O.!
The absolute rudest desk personnel and most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. 1 star is way more than they deserve but it does not allow 0 star rating, which is actually fortunate for this pathetic farce of a "business".
Convenient parking for a quick stop, friendly staff & mail boxes out front for after hours. The lobby is not open after hours for package drop off at this location, but UPS down the street can also accept USPS packages :
The workers of the northville post office are amazing !! They are so helpful, and kind! Tish, who helped us get my passport, was hilarious and made the process so quick and easy. Not to mention how nice she was to a child who was getting his first passport. Thank you to these hardworkers !
I had the worst possible experience here, staff was extremely rude, unfriendly, and slow, it took half an hour simply to put a label on my package, and I heard the employees verbally abusing each other while I was there. I initially asked to buy a label to write the address at the desk, the clerk literally said no and just handed me a 1x4 inch slip of pink paper to tape on to the package. I wrote the addresses and stood there waiting while she went into the back and, very loudly, cursed out her older co-worker sitting in the back room. Like, very loudly, with very foul language. When there were small children with their parents waiting to be served. When the co-worker came out, she raised her arms and yelled, "who wants to berate me next?! Anyone?!?!" I was rudely sent over to her, and she proceeded to take literally ten minutes to figure out what her password was, and then waste five more trash talking the clerk to me, a customer, in front of said clerk. She finally gave me a label and took my package, all while muttering curses and snide remarks under her breath. Both women were extremely unpleasant and unprofessional, and I will absolutely never be returning. There are nearby FedEx and UPS stores quite nearby with friendly, helpful staff that you can use.
Line was long but staff was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly so I was in and out within a few minutes. Complete opposite experience vs. other locations I've been to Edit: Reducing to 3 stars. Just brought in an 18 lb package to ship to California, lowest price option was $65. The clerk wrongfully pressured me to just ship it since I wouldn't get a lower rate from UPS or FedEx. Turns out UPS quote was $40, FedEx was $33
Most Obnoxious Experience with Agent Tish at Northville Post Office We had an appointment at 12:00 for passport renewal today, 9/25, and we arrived at 12:03 pm. Upon walking into to the office with 3 kids she asked, what time is your appointment? My husband said 12. She then asked, what time is it now? My husband immediately apologized and said sorry we were busy with kids. She then asked for the required forms which we have prepared. Upon reviewing the form, she caught that we had already glued our daughter's picture onto the form and said it's not supposed to be like this. It's not per regulation and they are not going to accept it. My husband asked if he could fill out a new form and she REFUSED, saying she has back to back appointment. She then began collecting the forms and said this is how she is going to mail it and they are going to return it!! I could not believe how hostile, unfriendly, unhelpful any human being can be! Who is going to be paying for 80+ bucks and waiting for 12 weeks only to know that your passport forms are going to be returned! My husband and I were so mad that we decided to drop the case and walked out. We did not deserve to be treated like this only because we were 3 minutes late. Were we late? Yes - for 3 minutes. But keep in mind that for our past appointments we had arrived on time and had to wait for 20 minutes for an agent to show up. I do not understand why we could not fill out a new form on the spot and had to be threatened with a returned form and wasted money - ONLY BECAUSE WE WERE 3 MINUTES LATE. As a last note, thank you for the agent who was sitting next to Tish on that day. She said she understands how upset I must have felt and apologized - finally I gained some peace knowing the post office administration still has a shred of human decency. [Updated 9/28] I received an email from the supervisory officer regarding an apology and an effort for training on the clerk's handling of customer's transaction and customer experience. I do appreciate the investigation and follow up and hope that no such negative experience would occur in the future.
My new mail carrier doesn't seem to know how to read.We just had our brick walkway sealed.I put out a chair and several orange traffic cones to block access to the walkway. She ignored the barrier and sign which said to place mail on the chair inches basket.I stopped her a d she asked why she wasn't supposed to walk up to my porch! I realize you have carrier shortages, but it seems this girl is not properly trained. We
Terrible people working on the front desk. Every single time I'm there to drop packages they give me hard time. And one of them were throwing my packages in the bin 10 feet away like Garbage. Is there any management in this office!!!!!!!!???????
Arrived 10 minutes ahead of scheduled passport appointment, zero people in line waiting for passport, only 1 person inside for other reasons and three people working at the counter: Was told to wait in the colder vestibule. 15 minutes later, now 5 minutes past appointment, still zero people in line waiting for passport, and no more than 1 person at a time inside for other reasons and three people at counter and was told again to wait. 12 minutes later, finally called in. I give benefit of the doubt as much as possible, but having me wait nearly 30 minutes with no one in front and ample staff to help seems excessively long. Appointment in the morning, so not like it was after a long hard day and people needed a sanity break
