I have visited this post office location two to three times this year and I have been impressed with the professionalism of the staff as well as things being organized nicely. My last visit on 09/05/2023 afternoon was not so positive. The two individualsone male/one femalenot so up on customer service, however the worse was the young female, blondish hair with black roots. She was rude to me but more so with another patron. Total bad attitude and talking down to the the female customer. Don't know what the female USPS problem was, such a bad representative of the USPS.
It was a good experience for me customer service was amazing I can't think Kyra for helping me out she was so sweet it was my first time. Mailing off one of my business packages and she helped me every step of the way thank you so much keep up the good work sweetie...
Called to inquire about making a passport appointment, and the woman on the phone was short-answered and rude. Can’t even ask a simple question like, “Do passport appointments have to be made by phone or online?” because then people will snap at you as if you just offended them
I appreciate that the two prank mail packages I sent to a friend in Signal Hill were delivered timely, however, I'm extremely disappointed that I paid extra to require signature on delivery of these albeit embarrassing prank mail packages The signature on delivery step was integral in delivering the full prank experience- but you stole this from us I got the notification this morning that the delivery had been made and was surprised when I had to ask my friend about it, he found the packages in his mailbox. Thinking this was odd, I requested proof of delivery which was received quickly; it says the package was "Delivered, Left with Individual" and has my friends initials jotted down...in reality the packages were left in his mailbox and no one in his house actually signed for it. I'm sure the packages would be uncomfortable to hand deliver to someone, but this disappointing to not receive the service you paid for.
I've gone 3 times to the drive thru to deposit mail in the collection boxes well before 5:00 which it says is the last pickup and they were locked. If they're no longer going to be in service until 5:00 they need to remove them or post their new hours of collection.
Very friendly and welcoming. Helpful and patient as I figured out my package to ship.
WARNING: the passport section business hours are not posted here. You would figure that’s a common sense thing to post passport hours. They promptly close at 3:30 pm, not at 5 pm as posted for the regular post office. I was shocked that the regular post office downstairs even had basic forms available, but not any other necessary forms you may need to file. Furthermore, the passport section doesn’t seem to want to even help you unless you have an appointment, which you can only make online, not at the office. The post office is not known for outstanding customer service, we all know that as a given. As much as that may seem, my experience this afternoon at 3:30 pm flies in the face beyond lack of customer service, it reeks of unprofessionalism: I was second on a line of only four customers while the only postal associate behind the counter was engaged in excessive lengthy and chatty conversation with the customer at the counter. Because of their chatty exchange, the line went right through the main entrance door outside, as we all patiently waited for their chat to finally end. A second associate finally came behind the counter, and another came out to the lobby to take stamped letters and packages. But it was too late: the waiting got even longer. A shame. You wonder why nobody likes going to the post office.
The staff and my normal Post Man is awesome... HOWEVER this guy who is not my normal postman has skipped my pick up for USPS packages 2 days in a row and on top of that he broke my mailbox because he was in a rush hoping I wouldn't see him skipping my house pick up two days in a row... IT IS WHAT IS IS
Went in yesterday around 2pm for passport renewal and they said to show up between 7am-8am no later and they open till 8:30am... Online it says open 8:30am. So make sure if you work or go to school. You call days before and get more info or maybe even scheduled an appointment because they will not do anything that has to do with passports if you show up after 8am which is not even open yet. And from the reviews I see that even if you do get there before opening time you have to prepare for a long wait. Plan accordingly. Update:Came in ahead of time 7:20 am waited till the doors opened at 8:30 and it's almost 1pm and still waiting. The way that it's going I think we will be here till 2-3pm. They say they have no restrooms. You have to go to the health department for it wich is past a block away. Or a gas station. But if you leave you lose your spot. Girl in the first window has great customer service but she is alone.
Package drop off counter is not very accessible, specialy when you have large bulky items. You're not allowed to go behind and drop off in the carts either. Cashiers are the worst.
