The front desk worker, Stephanie was absolutely the best worker I’ve experienced in any United States postal service office I’ve ever been in. Thank you for your hard work and great customer service.
I went in to pick up a package only to realize that they were closed at 4pm instead of the usual 6pm after going in. Nobody was at the window so I I hollered for someone and this guy named Lorenzo came out to inform me that they closed 20 minutes ago. I explained why I was there and that day was my only shot to get to the post office that week. Lorenzo helped me out anyway and did so with a great attitude about it. The most pleasant experience I've ever had a post office. Give that man a raise and don't let him go.
I've been using this post office for years and it's a big part of why I trust the USPS over private carriers such as FedEx or UPS. The staff at this post office are friendly and responsive, and they always do their utmost to make sure I get my packages and that I send them in the most optimal way. Their competition has never been so caring or attentive. Kudos to the USPS in general, and the Boot Road post office in particular. My hat's off to you!
Parker is a RAY OF SUNSHINE at the dtwn post office. She is incredibly accommodating and kind, and runs the place in a very organized fashion, always with a smile on her face.
People gripe about the USPS but in fairness one must choose the time to visit. I had a particularly difficult time with other Carriers trying to ship a framed Print to the UK. FedEx would not take a particular sized Box as the UK/EU FedEx would not accept it so I needed to increase the size. Cost ? $1000. Value? $100. FedEx suggested USPS and so I went in to have the box weighed and measured after closing and they did this. I returned the following Saturday and had everything taken care of within ten minutes. They are cheerful and helpful and under a lot of pressure. If you go at the right time you will have a good experience. If you are in a rush don't go there because your lack of patience will give a false reading of the situation. This USPS Office also did my Passport seamlessly. With 2021 being a ghastly year with Covid they performed their duties very well. Thank you.
Always, always crowded. Always slow. Always understaffed. It's been this way for a very, very long time. The staff tries, very hard, to keep up. They are very nice, hardworking people, but just too few of them. It is an uphill battle for them. Go to the Exton branch. It is crowded, too, but it moves.
Lorenzo is By far the best Postal Service employee I have ever interacted with. Almost every single day I go to a post office for my job and business. I have been to hundreds of different post offices. And I have never encountered such a joyful, energetic and happy person who has worked for USPS as Lorenzo. There was a time. For over two years that almost every day I saw Lorenzo. Not once did he have a bad day. Not once did he give me attitude. Even on the days where I came in to his office with 60+ certified mail letters they had to go out. I have been given very bad attitude and even yelled at by other postal employees for doing that. He is the sole reason on why I am giving this great review to this post office. It will be a sad day when he retires for me. He is what every employer ever wants to have in an employee.
EXTREMELY disappointed in the quality of service I received today. My package ended up being held at the post office, and I wanted to go get it. However, my work schedule is very busy and the post office supposedly closed at 6:00, which is when I get off work. I tried to use the website function where I can change the address so it would not get held at the post office, but the function did not work. I tried calling, and I ended up having to jump through hoops in order to actually be able to speak to a person who might be able to help me with my problem. None of the robot prompts were accurate to my situation. I was then I was placed on a call back list and it took them about 30 minutes to get back to me. When they did call me back, they placed me on hold again. When I was finally able to talk to someone, I asked if I could give them my boyfriend's name and whatever they needed so he could get my packages for me. They said no, which I think is unreasonable because I authorized it and he could show his ID to prove it was him, but because his name wasn't on the package they said no. So then I left work an hour early in order to get there before they closed. I showed up at about 5:20 and no one was at the counter to help me, so I rang the bell. A man showed up and I asked him about my package and his response was simply "but we're closed", to which my response was "the website says you're open until 6:00 and your doors are unlocked". He just said that they've been trying to get the website changed and that was the end of the conversation. Very disappointed that five minutes couldn't be spared to give me my package when the website said they were open, there was no signage saying they were closed, the doors were unlocked, and someone responded when I rang the help bell. Update the website, and if you're closed, act like it. Lock the doors so no one is wandering around aimlessly waiting for help that won't come. Do better and be more helpful.
The USPS website, the Google-listed hours, and the hours printed on their own front door all say they are open until 6pm on weekdays so I rushed over, making it there at 5:45pm to mail out a time-sensitive package. The door was unlocked, but the counters had the gates drawn down. No one was there. My package, which had to be accepted into the mail by that day, did not get scanned in until the following day. I could have gone to UPS if I'd known USPS would be closed. Ridiculous. Update: today, on a Saturday, the post office is allegedly open until 4pm. I arrived at 3:45pm only to find it closed AGAIN. The door was unlocked, but again the counters were closed with the gates down, and no one was there. Does anyone actually work here? Ever?
They decided to close an hour early for absolutely no reason, even though there was still someone at the till. This woman at the till kept shouting "we're closed!" at people entering even though she was still helping customers for some reason. Also, after they locked up, I could hear her arguing with another employee behind the door, and there was shouting and swearing. Very classy. I hope this place cleans up its act.
