Went in here to send off a passport renewal. This may have been the most efficient customer service experience I have ever had. Ms. Elizabeth was an absolute pro, very knowledgeable and helpful. I couldn't be more thrilled with my experience!
When I walked in the lead clerk was attending people. On the side was another clerk busy with documents. I stood in line patiently waiting my turn. The clerk who I now know is named Liz, would casually look up as people entered the building behind me. She then asked me “ma’am, what do you want”. Call me a KAREN, it sure is my name. It’s how she said it and what she said. “How may I help you?” “How May I assist you” “Good afternoon” would’ve been polite. Once I asked for her name her demeanor changed. She sarcastically questioned why I had taken so long to get my mailbox key. That’s not her business and I don’t need to explain that I work an hour away and when they open I’m long gone. All so she could say “return on Monday”. Lovely.
Lines moved quickly and the staff was friendly. I’ve had some fairly bad experiences waiting in post office lines so I was scared when I had to drop a package off on Black Friday. Thankfully they made it as painless as possible!
Don't bother calling the office for help cause they won't. Have had a certain mail piece returned to sender 3 times Spoke to a manager in another office and instead of transferring me to the correct office she spoke to her herself. She reassured me they spoke to the mail carrier and asked him not to returned my stuff. Apparently he thought I moved Called again this time to the Channelview location where my address belongs and she insists it's not their fault but the sender shows that it's returned! Only option is for me is to pay and have my stuff sent thru UPS instead which is not fair! They need to do their job correctly
I guess I go in there several times a week and I always find EXCELLENT and VERY FRIENDLY customer service. Sure, there may be a line once in a while only to be expected, and that is mainly because all postal customer service representatives are giving every customer a great personal experience. Great job!!! USPS Sheldon Road, pat yourselves on the back for always doing a great job!!!
BEST post office ever. I called to find out some information and I had the pleasure of speaking to Nicole, she was wonderful, excellent customer service. Keep it up.
EVERY worker in this establishment is wonderful! They take their time to consider every customer's needs! They move swiftly and in total consideration to the # of customers in the building at a time, but do not rush over anyone! Very friendly and considerate! I would not change Post Offices ! Love it here !
Website says passport is from 9-2 but when I went in, she said that they only have one person that is certified and she does it for 30 minutes to an hour everyday. Then went to post office that doesn’t require an appointment and waited over an hour. USPS needs more people to work on passports. The demand is obviously high.
Worst Post Office I have been too. I don't get my sales papers, and half the time the post person losses my out going mail, if mailed from home. We don't send out any mail via mailbox because of that reason. They wonder why everyone is going through the internet to pay bills now. My mother in law mailed off a bill and it took 6 months for the receiver to get it, yeah right. So we don't use out mail carrier to mail out anything of importance because of this reason. We will either mail it from another post office, go to the business directly or use the internet to pay the bills. If you can avoid this business avoid it, if you can't get a trace number and make sure you have insurance on the package you are sending out. All this is from my experience with this post office.
After repeatedly finding my mail wadded into balls, I asked if they could possibly not destroy my mail. I was told that the head mailmasher forbade them pulling mail out to add more mail. They were required to just smash the mail forward and shove more behind it "to save time". If you could not empty your box daily, you would be punished. Because I was usually gone for several days at a time, I had to close the box. I have had several, if not many, Post Office boxes and this was the worst experience I've ever had.
