I had an item that was suppose to be delivered to my parcel. I opened my locker and had a key to a package parcel, but ended up getting someone else's package who lived in the apartment complex. I just missed the delivery driver so I took the package and went to check and see if the people were home and if they had received my package. Nobody was home so I called the post office and after 3 attempts of calling, finally got someone. I told them about the situation and they said they would contact the delivery guy and get him over to take care of it. Hours went by and still nothing. I called again and said that I still don't have my package yet that I need for work tomorrow and the same lady advised me "I have been trying to get packages sent out, I haven't even contacted the delivery driver yet. I can try later this evening but can't make any promises." Is it that big of a task to notify a delivery driver? The postman has been by twice now and I couldn't catch him in time. The problem was, addressed the next day.
Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. We have had so much trouble just getting our mail delivered. It has made us late on multiple utility payments as well. Now this same post office is threatening to put a hold on our mail because they say a vehicle is blocking access to the mailbox. This is completely false as there is 5-6 feet of clearance available for the mail deliverer. This vehicle is also not parked illegally as it is on the street and not parked in a yellow zone. I see that I am not the only one who has had trouble with this post office. This establishment fails at providing a simple and archaic service to the citizens of Emporia.
I had an amazing experience today with Eileen and she made a bad day so much better. The world needs a lot more people like you so thank you.
Packages have been getting stuck in status "In Transit, Arriving Late" whenever I get something from the East Coast for 3 months so far. Have to open up a request in order to get them to arrive else they just sit there for weeks.
Multiple times been told no mail but then after an HR they find it. Told to call to check to see if my GD is in and when I do they say they can't tell me that info over the phone. I drive 20 miles everyday just to be told no mail.
Recently moved to Emporia into a house that contained a box on the house. A week later we, having previously submitted a change of address, a package we had ordered prior to moving was marked as delivered to our new residence. We could not find this package. My wife went to the post office and was given the package and a stack of mail that was being held. She was also informed no mail would be delivered to our house because we did not have a curbside mailbox. In the stack of mail was an unsealed, unsigned letter stating this same thing. There has been zero attempt by the postal service here to communicate this with us, that our mail was being held at all, or as to the reasons why. There are no house in the several block stretch we now live in that have a curbside mailbox. The only letter does not meet the notification standards per the post offices own regulations, and it is beyond me how a service, no less a company, could operate on such a poor standard of humanity and business. Had I a choice on who delivers my mail, it would not be the US postal service of Emporia.
The postal workers are knowledgeable helpful and friendly. Even when I've visited during the busy holiday season, lines moved swiftly and questions or concerns were handled quickly and professionally.
Worst post service I have ever had to deal with. Always have my mail late, OPENED, and idiot mail carriers. I call them out when I say I have someone else's mail and they say "I will pay more attention tomorrow". This is absurd!! I got a letter A YEAR LATE from them and they don't give a flying crap. I hope they get shut down and replaced with an efficient service soon.
I've always had an awesome experience mailing packages out, purchasing supplies and placing mail holds. The employees at this location are kind and helpful. I'm thankful for USPS!
Since this is the third time, now I’m here. I had a package fail to show up at my residence two weeks late, reason being was an incorrect zip code. I double checked the zip code on my invoice and it was correct. Ridiculous.
