Dropped off a package when it was very slow only three customers. Did they scan it? No of course not it would take at least 5 second to do that and then my buyer would be able to track his purchase. I can see how it happens when its busy but when there are almost no customers you should be able to do an easy job
l would rate this a zero if that was a ln option. Worst experience at a post office ever. Slow, incompetent, and horrible customer service. I don't know if the clerk just doesn't know how to do her job or what but she tried to charge me $81.70 to mail a 7.5 lb box to St Louis. When questioned, she recheck and said it would be $72 and some change. When asked what happened to the $20 quote that I agreed to, she said it was because the box was too big. Went to the Townsend post office and mailed it for $41.65. The staff there is always great! I would avoid this post office if at all possible. Truly feel sorry for people who have to use this place.
Called during "least busy" time of day and still had an hour wait time to speak to a person about why the USPS wont deliver my mail to my home, but will mail my two roommates mail? Two other people in the house get daily mail there without issue, and three times someone has attempted to send me "First Class" mail and all three times the post office has either lost it, or failed to deliver it and claimed that my address is invalid. Unbelievable unprofessional. I left a call back number because I was told it would take over an hour to get back to me. Instead of calling me back, I was called by someone from a service center in the northeast who knows nothing about my post office or my issues. The service center agent gave me the number of an office in Jacksonville who doesnt service my area, but their automated system gave me the number of the office who does. After getting the run around, i attempted to call them back and got stuck in a phone system designed by the stupidest person on earth. Getting a human on the other end is IMPOSSIBLE. I genuinely hope that every person who works for the post office loses their job because every last one of you is incompetent After trying for hours to get these people on the phone, I had an incredibly rude gentleman tell me that because someone else with my same last name requested forwarding services on my route, the mail carriers returned my mail on three separate occasions without ever making sure that it wasnt the same person and to simply send the mail again. After informing him that if my mail was rejected a fourth time, that i would be in his office yelling at them in person, he threatened to put me in jail. Without a doubt the worst customer service experience of my life.
I ordered a package for $108.88 and asked for it to be held. It was held for less than 24 hours before it was shipped back to the sender for no reason. When I asked the desk worker about it, he said that it was likely the sender who did it even though they in fact had not a single thing to do with it. Zero effort.
We have tried to make a change of address, twice now. Yet 4 months later we are still not receiving mail. I go in today to see how to resolve this, only to be talked at like is was a child. Then the clerk admits that the fault was on their end. I asked that they simply do their job, so to fix the issue on their end. The clerk took issue with my asking for them to do the job that they are paid to do... I have missed several VA appointments, as well as my meds not being delivered.
They are rude and mean. Then when THEY screw up, they act like you are wrong. Or look the "other way" concerning them not doing their job correctly. Yes, the post master said those words to me. Would you really want to use them if they are in the habit of "looking the other way"?
I'm grateful the post office is so convient to our house The personnel is always very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient Thank you USPS team members
Inconsistency is the only thing they are consistent with. Never the same delivery time, never deliver packages to the right place. I have had two packages delivered to my home while being on vacation and having a forward on my mail. Unable to get to the packages. I have had to call several times with concerns.
Maybe the USPS should actually pick up their phone rather than have some automated voice sit there while someone is going through the most annoying and frustrating time to simply ask one question. But they don’t want to right? Exactly
Seems like I need a position to teach the people who deliver the packages to the door on how to actually knock so someone can hear it. Please retrain them on how to knock and wait a minute or so. Now due to the incompetence we have to go down to the post office tomorrow to pickup our package.
