The carriers for this post office are the laziest I’ve ever experienced. They often stuff my mailbox with items boxes that should be delivered to the porch instead. The latest was when I was expecting the ashes of my beloved pet and instead received the dreaded pink slip with ‘pet memorial’ hand written on it. I was home at the time of that ‘failed’ delivery and they didn’t have the common courtesy to attempt to drop it at my door. Now I have to be late for work bc they don’t even open til 9am. Absolutely awful postal service!
I went to the post office to mail a certified letter / return receipt. Ten days passed and I did not receive a note of delivery and who signed it. I dropped by the post office to ask about it. I was told: "We delivered it on a Monday but the place was closed..." closed? a dental office? on a Monday?..."we left a note for them to come and pick up the letter but nobody came..." hmm...I don't know of many people being eager to come and pick up a certified letter..."do you want us to re-deliver it?" Do I? Who knows...Perhaps that day that I paid for a certified/return receipt letter I just felt like mailing a letter and paying 8 dollars for it... Such lack of responsibility...I don't understand it.
Very rude people work here,after giving my neighbors my mail several of times.I come to pick up my mail,to make sure I get my important documents. I think her name is Cheryl or Cathy was not understanding but rude. If I made a trip here,Im just picking up my mail.So please save all you guys rude comments.Why would I have to come all the way to the post office.If I received all my mail?
The postmaster is always nice and apologizes for their errors - but there are frequently errors. Lost a one of a kind manual they illegally signed as delivered before they even left the PO, delayed delivery of mail, damaged package with 2 rolls of stamps inside missing I know this because I order stamps from a PO where my sister is a postmaster- so since she mailed them, she knew I was telling the truth about the package content and SHE replaced them NOT our PO, countless errors with held mail. More times than not they miss the end date or they deliver when they are not supposed to. As I write this - the hold mail was supposed to be delivered Saturday and it wasn’t - but there was mail that was delivered on the first day of our hold mail and it wasn’t supposed to be. I am at a loss as to why they seem to be so disorganized and do not follow their own rules to help make sure this doesn’t happen. But then again - after they lost the stamps - I contacted their MPOO Manager post office operations and he did not seem too concerned with my issue- so it seems to be a top down incompetency and/or complacency problem. Sigh.
Moved into rental unfortunately during Christmas time, unknowing how Stevensville Post Office carrier's deliver or do not deliver mail. The address on cards and small package was correct and could fit in the mailbox, which is a locked box designated for the rental. This post office returned mail correctly addressed back to sender. How dumb!! Reasons from postmaster because no change of address to their area was received! Had not forwarded mail as typically do all on internet, only established holiday as new mail to be received at new residence. Not done as friends family thought something happened since cards were returned.
I have been tracking my package starting on November 26 2018 on December 2 2018 the package is finally in Maryland yea on December 4 2018 at 8:44am it goes out for delivery I check status at 4:30 it said at 3:56pm delivery attempted no access to delivery location thats bull. I go to post office to pick up my package at 5:08pm and the Post Office is CLOSED. I have cameras front and back and I have ring door bell front and back. I checked all my cameras no postal Carrier and no missed package delivery notices. The kicker is my girlfriend was home all day and never left the house. So now the government is closed on Wednesday for president Bush viewing and I’m going on vacation and I need what was in that package for my trip. The USPS is a joke.
I’m getting real tired of me and my girlfriend having the correct address yet having things sent back to sender. What’s going on?? I made sure to have both of us pay the USPS dollar fee to change my address Which is theft in my eyes. I guess you now can’t mail something to a different address because to make the mailing system easier on them it automatically sends to the address they have on file. ANOTHER example is my grandmother sending a Christmas card to my moms address. Was sent back to sender! The ONLY reason I can think of is because my address is different in the system. It’s not cool that I can’t get mail at other address. Not sure if this is just a Stevensville, Md issue or what but it NEEDS to get fixed. FIX IT PLEASE!!!
They need to employ people who can read. I get mail for people who lived in my house more than 2 years ago. I've marked the mail as "No Longer at This Address" and "Return to Sender". I've called the post office. I've left notes for the postal carriers. I've tried having their mail held but, see first sentence, they held my mail as well. I constantly get me neighbors mail - see first sentence. I have signed for letters that they have mis-delivered that I never received.
I can’t even begin to explain the multitude of problems we have had with Stevensville Post Office over the past 14 years. It has been beyond ridiculous. Including having to chase down one of the former mail carriers who failed to deliver a certified letter as I stood in my window and watched her deliver my mail. Today I go out to get my mail and there is a newspaper in the box and two pieces of mail lying in a mud puddle on the ground
I had stopped by approx 2 weeks ago an purchased a 100 roll of stamps with approx 2 pieces of mail an got back home an could not find the roll anywhere in my truck or at home, I thought that I left it or dropped it somewhere in between. I came back in today to purchase more stamps an Tina had found the roll I dropped in the parking lot!!! I thought she was kind an she remembered me when I purchased the stamps.. Thank you Tina ..
