Always have issues with some of my packages being delivered and it’s usually always a lie about not being able to access my delivery location when letter mail is delivered to my delivery location just fine! I have no animal threats or gate blocking my location, and it’s always a package I desperately need in a crunch with no fast redelivery attempts made at all! I tried to understand with the mail employee shortage, but this is ongoing…
I received notice of my package two days ago. It is not here yet. This is what happens when you trust jealous and envious people. You have put our business in hands that do not give a damn about us or the USA. Who suffers we do not to mention how they get away with stealing our faith in the postal services

My experience here was incredible - most recently on a Saturday! The guy working the counter could not have been more helpful and polite. I’ve been to this office a few times and they have always been so great. We need our postal workers and we need to be more grateful to them for all they do! Thank you Opelousas Post Office for a job well done and a great team! I’ll be back again soon, when I need my next pkg sent! Have a blessed day!
Rude carriers, post master and front counter employees. I eSign for packages and they still don't deliver. My mailbox is perfectly in line with everyone else's yet they leave me a note saying fix mailbox and will hold mail until fixed. I put a hold request so that I may pickup at post office and they kept trying to deliver then sent back to senders. I have watched carrier pull too close to mailboxes, making them slightly move, I've also watched carrier take mail from one box place into another then put back in same box, carrier has left mailbox door wide open after putting mail inside, carrier has slammed themailbox door for no reason. They never leave a notice if I have to pick up mail from post office. i have never delt with such poor work ethics and etiquette as I have in Louisiana.
We go days at a time without getting any mail or seeing the driver and then get a large amount of mail all at once. They lost an entire box of live ducks once and told me there was no phone number on the box to call me so they sent them with the driver. My phone number was written below my name and above the address on the shipping label. I had to drive and find the specific driver to get my ducks. Then the driver called me at 3 am several days later, I assume drunk. I have had them report more than one package as undeliverable yet we were home every time. L Our mail is consistently later than you would reasonably think. Even flyers and ads consistently come after they’ve already expired.
Typical lazy mail carrier. Too lazy to walk up one flight of stairs. And before anyone says she might have a "medical problem etc" mail carriers typically are in decent shape plus all you do is handle mail and packages. They make you sign a paper during employment that states " i am able to lift 10 pounds or more or capable of doing so". Calling her supervisor wont serve you any purpose. They dont give a care either. But maybe corporate will see this. And this was happening before covid before someone blames a shortage of workers.
Today I placed mail in my mailbox for the carrier to pick up, the flag was up and mail stamped. It was a substitute, she put the flag down and put mail on top of the mail I was sending out. It’s always a problem when our regular carrier is out.
Lied about attempted delivery for Sunday. If I understand correctly, sub-drivers usually deliver those kinds of packages, and Amazon is STRICT with their 2 day delivery for it’s members. To literally look out of my window all day just to never see the truck and have my status update to “Attempted Delivery @ enter time here” is a major blow. Why lie? At the end of the day it’s YOUR responsibility to get the packages here. I doubt there was a delay because there was no harsh weather yesterday, and I doubt heavy traffic happened.
Worst experience with any post office ever. Anytime they don't feel like delivering a package, they leave a slip in my mailbox and I then have to go pick it up. About 50% of my packages get delivered and the other 50% I have to pick up. Every time I have called and spoke to RUBY, she is the rudest employee that works there. Never calls back when she says she will either. Its sad that I don't have a choice when ordering from certain websites but anytime I have the opportunity to choose my delivery company, I always choose anyone other than USPS. I will happily pay 10 times the shipping amount to not use USPS. I have submitted numerous complaints to the local office as well as the website and nothing ever changes. I hope RUBY gets fired and replaced with someone who respects their customers. FIRE RUBY!!!
