Just visited the historic and lovely post office here in Clarendon! It is always fun going to the post office because one feels as though they are stepping into the past. I especially loved that the inside of the building was adorned with beautiful and historical murals, while the outside was decorated with a beautiful yet imposing golden eagle. I used the self-service machine to purchase a bubble mailer and a few stamps for future use! I also came on a Saturday, and it was a quick metro ride from DC since all of the post offices in the District are usually closed on Saturdays. Will come here again if convenient or in the area!
I came to this branch for a passport appointment. The officers here are very professional and helpful. They were willing to help. It was not busy, just 2-3 people in line at a time. There is no parking space, only street parking next to the post office. I came here twice and found a parking spot easily.
Had to ship a tricky package and was honestly dreading the process. But the staff at this location were super helpful. They sorted me out quickly and even gave me some cost-saving tips. Really made my day easier. Highly recommend.
Go elsewhere if you can. Short hours mean you’ll need to take time off or wait in Saturday lines if you work a normal 9-5, and the customer service is nonexistent at this office, condescending staff abound. I’ll give them a second star in that it’s a post office so they’ll deliver your mail/packages, but Courthouse is a much better option.
We went here for a passport applications with me and my 2 kids. I submitted all the required documents for all of us and the employee checked all of it, upon checking she return some Of the documents and.told me those are no longer needed and quess what after 3.weeks i received email saying that im lacking of the requirements that needed for passport application The employee who helped with our passport is so incompetent who doesn't even knows the requirement for pappsport applications. Our flight was canceled because we didn't received the passport on time. The employee is so incompetent .She should attend.seminars and.contnious learning. What a waste.of money and time.
To certain members of the staff: If you're prejudiced against white people, working in Clarendon/ north Arlington was a bad choice. Some of the staff here are like petty teenagers. I was nothing but kind, had the easiest transaction ever that required no effort or physical movement on her part, yet the clerk was rude and terse. She then greeted the black man behind me with warmth. What kind of society are we living in where this behavior is okay?
I am generous given 1 start. 2 employees working on Saturday and one was doing and the other doing something else. I wait, wait and wait and after 30 minutes I still waiting, so I left without delivered my package
I came for a passport renewal and was turned away due to the lady at the front telling me her coworker won't take anyone anymore. I almost wished she lied and said the computers were down.
I would not recommend this location. I came To this location for my boyfriends passport and they are rude. You shouldn’t be working some where you have to provide customer service to people if you’re going to have a nasty attitude.
I went to this location to pick up the passport renewal form and later to send it. Both times the women working at the desk were so kind and friendly. They gave me tips on how to get my new passport the quickest and were efficient! Both visits took maybe 5 minutes each. And it’s a historic building! Highly recommend this post office :
