Called me when my live animal order was ready for pickup 1/2 times. I had tracking the first time so it didn't matter so much although every time would be better. Staff interacted with was courteous and helpful:
If i could give them no stars I would. USPS person working window said we dont have tape for your box and theres non to sell. I saw some under mail and said well can I use that one. She looked surprised then said no we can’t let you use it. I have never in all my years had a post office not let you use tape for a package. Horrible customer service. This was even after waiting forever because only 1 person working window.
My husband and I just recently moved to Norton so this is our first experience with the Barberton Post Office. We received permission to have our mailbox moved from one side of Cleveland Massillon to the other side. Through no fault of our own, there was a miscommunication and the area where we placed our mailbox was not allowed. Whoever that female supervisor is that works at the post office should really think about how she treats customers. I do not know her name or else I would gladly post it. She is absolutely horrible and should be fired. Justin, on the other hand, made it a point to personally come out to our property and apologize to us. That post office needs more people like Justin…
If I could give them less then one star I would, unfortunately I only found one place that is nice with helping people get they're mail properly especially for someone who was supposed to get a package before they're first day of work and actually look it up and tried to find it before turning me away, just to go to my actual town post office, only be told they can't do what someone else just did for me. This place doesn't care about anyone but themselves and it's said since they're supposed to be working for us. I was kind. I was hoping for the same in return and just got coldness. Do better Barberton, Ohio USPS!
Be prepared to wait they just walk slow as slugs. And then when I ask for a package it says as it's against store policy. But then I asked for the policy number and they said there is no and so how is that a policy And even if it is against policy shouldn't you know the policy number like do you even do your job. no sense of urgency or anything.
The most awful Post office. I was shipping my package. I asked for the tape the USPS associate told me to buy one or go home and get it. Absolutely no customer ethics and extremely rude.
My only advice is don't use the blue postage boxes they have around town. Mailed a package December 30th with tracking from the blue box at Huntington bank on 5th St barberton. It's now January 6th and nobody has a clue where my package is. Hasn't been scanned once. And nothing I can do about it. What a crock. That package was very valuable and now I'm just up a creek. Asked what I could do and the guy said nothing cuz there's no proof I actually dropped it there. Well it is Huntington bank. So ur telling me they don't have a camera outside. Wow. Never again with USPS. I'm going FedEx or ups. At least I can trust them. No accountability at the USPS unless u pay extra. What a crock
Here is a rip have some one answer the phone!! By the time you go through 2 menus of what button to push for help…you could have answered my question. I never got an answer because it’s a 60 minute wait to ask about an email saying i have a certified letter. Is this a scam or do I have to drive to the post office, wait in line for 25-30 Minutes to be told “I don’t have a letter to be picked up”. Automation has its good points…but you all are taking it to far. Have someone answer the phone!!!!!!!
Two thirds of the employees there are hostile and impatient. They get information wrong, then when I try to correct them they take it personally. The JOB relies on ACCURACY of information. If a person can't handle that they shouldn't be working there. Also, don't bother trying to contact Postmaster J. Elizabeth Dobbins. Her email address is invalid. Fantastic. A "vital government service" run by bullies and cowards that demands to be run like a business but treated with kid gloves. And here we are as customers, left in the lurch.
I wish my mail went to a different post office. I called yesterday to try to have a package held so I could pick it up this morning since I dont want it sitting on my porch overnight and before I could even get my question out the woman on the phone was telling me no. This isn't the only issue I've had with this location, I have consistently asked them not to leave packages on the front porch since it's in plain view and exposed to any weather. They've ignored me, I constantly have sopping wet packages because of the rain, they dont even make an effort to get it in the covered area. When I add delivery instructions they ignore them too and still toss it up on the porch. On top of the packages being mistreated, all of my mail always smells like cigarettes which is foul and disrespectful. I'm also frequently missing mail. I've reached my break point, this location needs a crew overhaul ASAP.
