Tracking says package out for delivery at 7am. At 5pm tracking says, "Customer has requested the shipment to be held for collection. Please collect your package once available for pick-up.". Why lie? And I know if I go down there they will not know where it is but will probably deliver it on Monday. Seems like over the last year they have been going downhill in terms of delivery. They tend to skip mail/package delivery about 3 times a week on average. Update 8/29. I had packages came on Monday and Tuesday but not this one. Went down to the post office and they can't help. Downgrade a star. Update: it came this evening but I guess using the mailbox or placing it at the house wasn't an option today 9/2- yet again another package supposedly out for delivery. Lied and marked it as requested hold by customer for pickup. Do your job accurately? If you can't get to the house, stop the lie which costs me time/money.
Our mailman doesn't deliver or pick up mail on the days he's supposed to. On the days he does decide to come he loudly complains about having to deliver packages. Trust me, I hate you delivering my packages too. I die a little inside when I see my package has been handed off to USPS for final delivery. I've had a $185 package that was "out for delivery" for 4 days now but it has yet to be actually delivered. Nobody answers the phone when you call to figure out where your mail is. Would give zero stars if possible. Never had so many issues with the Waterbury post office when I lived there.
Useless. Won't pick up the phone. Won't deliver packages on Fridays. Even if we received other mail. What else can you expect from a good ol' government institution?
I have had a bad experience continually with receiving packages. They keep saying they couldn’t access my driveway or mailbox, which is definitely not true. And I know it’s not my normal mail carrier because he always delivers things. I was supposed to get my package on Friday. It said it was out for delivery. It never came. And then it said he’s gonna deliver it on Saturday again it never came and they said they couldn’t access my driveway. But it’s completely empty and there’s no reason for it. It’s called laziness and wanted to end their day earlier.
if you have Gwen, expect nothing but the best service for your mail. she is one the best Postal Carriers Barre has. Truly cares about her job and the service she provides. Any time I have had anything go 'missing' has been when she has had a day off or when something is lost before it gets to the hub but when I talk to her directly she tries to find out what happened to it. I dropped a star because its near impossible to get in touch with an actual PERSON in the building to find out what happened on site.
package out for delivery friday. She dropped off our paper mail and not the box. Now 3 days later it isn't at the post office and they were no use anyways. She is riding my 150 dollar package around in her truck and not delivering it. Almost like she doesn't want us to get it.
held our mail "at customers request" because dude didn't wanna walk up the stairs to our mailbox. tried to go pick up my package, was initially told it was scanned incorrectly and that it wasn't there for pickup and will be delivered as normal.... tried calling, the automatic system is incredibly backwards and they themselves never pickup the phone.... finally went back in next day and low and behold our mail WAS being held and picked up multiple days of mail.
Mail truck driving dangerously! Has 3 out of 3 brake lights out! Tried to call post office to just let them know and spent 10 minutes on the phone to then be given a 30 to 40 minute wait time!!! No thanks! Give this driver a ticket! Then maybe they'll learn to check their vehicle daily!
I'm not sure what has happened to this post office, 6 years ago I would have rated them higher, now they are constantly unable to deliver packages. Tracking will say out for delivery, then I'll watch my driver leave nothing and all of a sudden the tracking will change to attempted delivery when no attempt was actually made, or available for pickup. It boils down to the drivers being too lazy to walk the 24' down my driveway to leave it by my door. On occasion I've also seen the driver dump a package in a snow bank by my mailbox, unexceptable service. This office needs a complete overhaul of its staff or better yet, DO YOUR JOB.
So tired of having to go grab my packages from you guys because you can't do a simple task of taking the package and actually delivering it to the person. It's not hard you stick it in front of the door it's that easy. Now I have to leave work early and loose money to grab it before you close because you guys are to incompetent to do such a simple little task. If it's that hard for your employees to do then probably should get new ones. FedEx and UPS definitely beats you guys in everything for a mail and as a delivering service.
