The USS Thresher Arlington National Cemetery Memorial Foundation is a non-profit non-governmental organization created to realize the mission of the USS Thresher Arlington National Cemetery Memorial Project.
Our Board of Directors & Project Management members represent USS Thresher family, retired US Navy Submarine Force Officers, US Navy Enlisted Submarine Veterans, retired US Naval Sea Systems Command staff & employees, and industry leaders from companies who work on US Navy submarine technology & systems, new construction and overhaul.
Our project supporters include USS Thresher family & former crew, active duty, retired and veteran US Navy Submarine Force Officers, Chiefs & Enlisted personnel, Naval Submarine League members, current and former US Naval Sea Systems Command staff and employees, current and former corporate leaders & their employees from companies who work on US Navy submarine technology and systems, new construction and overhaul, US Senators and US Representatives.
All are dedicated to erecting a National Commemorative USS Thresher Memorial in Arlington National Cemetery designed to perpetuate the memories of the men lost aboard USS Thresher, and to keeping the story of USS Thresher alive, and in doing so, helping to minimize the likelihood of another similar tragedy from occurring.
