Utah Gastroenterology, P.C. is a single specialty gastroenterology and hepatology practice comprised of 22 physicians and three physician assistants with multiple office locations and four endoscopy centers across Utah. Our board-certified doctors are experts in all aspects of GI- and liver-diseases and address all issues such as colon cancer screening, heartburn-GERD, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, Celiac disease, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the liver, biliary system, and pancreas.

People are nice in the office but the company but their billing sucks and like to bill you twice and even three times for the same bill that they say is not the same but it's the same amount. You send pay saying you pay they say you do not get it and you send proof and they say never got it. I am never using Utah Gastroenterology again because of their bill outfit. The doctor and staff in the office are grate but not billing.
Apathy to the extreme. They pick and choose their cases. Will not even look at the schedule without them receiving your full medical history. The schedulers don’t even consult with an MA to see if an urgent case deserves expedited scheduling. A true reflection of how broken the healthcare system is.
I truly regret not reading the reviews beforehand! While my doctor was pleasant and displayed genuine interest in diagnosing my condition, I strongly advise seeking care elsewhere. The communication and customer service at this medical practice are extremely deficient. When attempting to obtain crucial information related to your health, it feels like the staff are engaged in a game of telephone. Furthermore, my doctor's assistant displayed rudeness and condescension when I requested additional details about a prescription, which was done in accordance with the pharmacist's advice. There are additional concerns, but I urge you to entrust your medical needs to a practice where you can focus solely on your well-being, without any apprehension about how you'll be treated by the staff.
I could not be more pleased with Dr. Fenton and his staff. Everyone was efficient, kind and helpful. I would recommend them to everyone.
Dr Jones is an awesome doctor. He is an effective communicator. He saved my life, literally. However, the new location- old mill- is more frustrating. The wait time doubled and it seems more disorganized. I go to my annual visit and they never send through my updated prescription. I also manage my blood draws. Because of the quality care I have received from Dr. Jones, I will continue as a patient, but be prepared for a long wait and incomplete management of your needs from the office.
I have been coming to Utah Gastroenterology for 15 years and to say I feel blessed for such amazing care is an understatement. Dr. Harmston has always been personable, knowledgeable and caring. He’s always taken exceptional care of me whether it’s a simple office visit, or a procedure. His nurse, Becky, is equally wonderful. Even in the couple minutes she’s with you, you can tell she cares and values her work. The receptionists are always caring and efficient. I know when I come here I will see kind faces and genuine care for my health and that feeling has never wavered through the years. They are exceptional, always!
Front office staff was helpful and friendly. I was taken back and seen quickly. Abbie is always very patient and informative. She takes her time to listen and then explains things in a way that is easy to understand. Highly recommend this facility!
Judy, at the front desk, is so pleasant! I did not have to wait in the lobby very long. The MA, JT I think was his name, was also very pleasant and thorough. Melissa the PA is so sweet, helpful and knowledgeable. She did a good job calming a worried mom‘s fears. I love everyone that I had contact with. Thank you!
I arrived 5 min early as requested and was taken to the exam room within minutes. They are always prompt. Brien Miller is a wonderful doctor. He's thorough, answered all my questions and took time to explain things. I truly trust and appreciate him.
I was greeted by a friendly and efficient receptionist . I only waited 5 minutes in the waiting area and only 5 minutes in the exam room. The nurse who accompanied me to the room was also very friendly. Dr. Krishnamurthy is a lovely woman who listened to my concerns, took them seriously and respected my privacy. She thoroughly answered my questions and reviewed my options. In the current healthcare system which tends to rush visits I am pleased with this positive experience. Leslie H
