Utah Housing provides mortgage money to qualifying first time home-buyers, as well as resources to developers building or renovating affordable apartment projects.
Utah Housing Corporation, was created as a public corporation by State legislation in 1975 to raise funds to assist in the creation of affordable housing opportunities for lower-income Utah households.
Utah Housing does not receive any funding from the State of Utah. It is totally self-supporting and, each year, raises hundreds of millions of dollars to fund its first time home buyer mortgage and multifamily programs, and other programs.
Utah Housing utilizes a wide array of financing resources in its programs including tax-exempt and taxable bonds, federal and state income tax shelters, conventional lending, federal and state grants, low-interest loans, and other forms of debt and equity.

Loan Programs:
Utah Housing Loan Programs offer mortgage loans to qualified first time home buyers and home buyers who have previously owned a home. Utah Housing provides down payment and closing cost assistance helping home buyers without the required funds to purchase a home. You will work directly through any one of the Participating Lenders in your area to complete the paperwork on your mortgage loan. If you have any questions about these programs please contact us.
Multifamily Developers:
