I've been doing this since the beginning of the year. I'm treatment resistant and this was my last ditch effort to get better. I assumed going in that this would be an instant fix for my suicidal ideation because of a study that indicated it helped about 85% of patients. Turns out, I'm one of the 15% that didn't have immediate relief, which was disappointing. However, it did immediately get rid of my insomnia, which I've had for 31 years, and this alone made the treatments worthwhile and kept me afloat. It also helped me with executive functioning. So even though I still had ideation issues, I was able to stay organized and make major decisions that helped drive my life forward toward things that I value. Even as I was experiencing enormous grief from the loss of loved ones. I've discovered a lot since then and I've come to terms with some major problems that 27 years of therapy has not been able to overcome. It's also helped in other weird ways. Medication that normally doesn't help me is now effective for me. Therapy practices that haven't helped me in the past like CBTI are now working as they're supposed to. I was already doing these things, clinging to the hope that they would work, so I saw a sudden, quick boost to my mental health due to following these practices in conjunction with the treatment. It's relieving to know that all the effort I've put into my mental health was not wasted; that the issue ultimately was damage to my brain that's now healing. After a few months it even improved my aphasia and mutism issues. I haven't had my usual early morning, post-dream panic attacks for most of the duration of the treatment. Then after 5 months of tweaking the dose I felt relief from depression for the first time in forever. I felt it for several weeks straight. I was shocked. I've had a few treatments since that took me backward, but my last treatment I held firm to the same process that worked, and again feel relief. So now I know what works and I will stick to it. The initial 3 week treatment is physically taxing. I have bladder issues, and the first few days were very painful because I didn't consider how much my kidneys would need to work to filter it out. Post treatment, it's difficult to recognise when there's pain in the body and pressure on my bladder. Making sure to go to the restroom every few hours for about 12 hours after treatments has gotten rid of that pain. Because of this treatment, over the last few months I've been able to go as long as 6 hours at night without my bladder hurting from the pressure. I am getting much better sleep and my bladder is healing. I have medical phobias, so my appointments almost always involve a panic attack, but this is just something I've come to accept and is worth enduring. Many of my sessions involve a terrible fear that I'm avoiding. The fear is worth facing and this is a safe place to face it. There was one session where I believed I died I did not, but because of the experience my fear of death is greatly diminished and life is so much more appealing. Every session is worthwhile because I know that the experience itself doesn't matter, what matters is the weeks after treatment where I'm making huge strides to improve my life. Sometimes there's severe nausea, especially at the higher doses. But don't be afraid to go higher because holding back is ultimately more detrimental than moving forward. Finding that perfect dose sooner than later is better and side effects like nausea or incontinence are totally worth the relief. For me, I get about 3 weeks of relief, then I usually push through a week of depression so that I'm doing treatments monthly. The nurses say it's different for everyone and that some people don't need follow ups for months. I don't know what the future holds, but at least there is a future, which is something I couldn't see before. It didn't treat what I wanted to treat for a long time, but it helped in so many other ways. And now that it IS helping the depression I'm moving full speed ahead.
I went into this treatment hopeful that it would help with my anxiety and depression and I cant even expmain how just after 1 treatment the difference I noticed!. It felt as if a heavy weight lifted almost instantly and the sadness i had for 20 years dissipated and i cannot express the gratitude I felt after the fusion. The staff was amazing at explaining everything and how they treated me made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend this infusion to anyone who is struggling with anxiety and depression. Big shout out to the clinic for making me feel happiness after such a long period of sadness!.
Everyone at the clinic was very nice. It was an interesting experience that I was willing to try because nothing else seemed to be helping my OCD. The only reason I'm leaving fewer stars is because the treatment didn't work for my OCD even after 6 treatments. It was an expensive price to pay for something not working. But it's worth a shot.
I have been coming here for over 2 years now and love this place. Ketamine treatment has been a saving grace for me and I am so grateful for that. But what’s sets this clinic apart from all others is the staff. They are so personable and truly care about you and your recovery. Very well trained, knowledgeable, and efficient, while being extremely friendly and empathetic. They create such a comfortable environment for the patient and whoever accompanies them. I have and will always recommend this clinic to anyone interested in Ketamine treatment!
I would highly recommend ketamine treatment for anyone that’s shown resistance to traditional and nontraditional medicine for anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. We have had three different family members come for treatment and have had miraculous results. Having had depression and anxiety severely for the past 15 years this is offered me a ray of hope in a very dark and lonely road. My brain is beginning to wake up in ways that it hasn’t for many many years and I’m able to process through things that I wasn’t able to process through before. The staff/owners at this clinic are absolutely fantastic. They are knowledgeable and professional and compassionate. I cannot recommend this enough!
I had a really positive experience with Utah Ketamine Clinic in American Fork. I did 6 sessions over the course of 3 weeks and saw a huge improvement with my mental health. The staff is very kind and personable. They made me feel so comfortable and were very helpful answering all of my questions. I never felt rushed and I felt that they genuinely cared about my experience. I'm definitely going to keep them in mind to recommend for family and friends and myself in the future if needed. I was very nervous when I first went and now I have no reservations about it. The facility they have is both very comfy and hygienic.
Love this clinic! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their environment is relaxing and comfortable. I did a lot of research before choosing this clinic. They are dosing and monitoring just as all the research suggests. I felt very safe for all of my treatments. Love that I am already seeing great improvements in my moods. I really feel like this treatment is worth it.
One of the best decisions I have made. I went to help with anxiety and also with the hope that it would help with post concussion symptoms and I truly feel like it has helped with both. I feel more calm and in control of my emotions now than I have felt in years. I highly recommend going through Utah Ketamine Clinic for your infusions if you feel like it could be a help to you.
Staff is helpful and kind and made everything easy for me from the beginning. They took time to answer my questions and explain the treatment. My treatment went very well and I immediately felt better and still do days later. Really happy I found this clinic, and they truly do have the best price in the area.
This is a great clinic. They work hard to help get you in when you need a treatment. Everyone is super nice, too. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because they have a few times charged the credit card on file instead of the HSA card like we requested. This doesn’t happen in person, so we’ve been meaning to talk to the people in the clinic, but we would appreciate if they were a little more careful about this, since these are expensive treatments for newlyweds.
