It's always fun to watch College Football live! The stadium is old and needs some upgrades, especially in the restrooms. The stadium seats are old school metal /aluminum bleacher seats. I strongly recommend bringing something to sit on. Clear bags are only allowed in the stadium.
It’s been over 6 years since I’ve been inside the sunbowl, and the stadium hasn’t changed much. It’s a great venue for concerts and to watch a football game. Parking is not the worst. Try going to a game at UT in Austin, then you’ll never complain about the parking situation at UTEP. And traffic in and out of the stadium is well controlled thanks to the roundabouts on Sunbowl drive. The only advice I can give, if you’re game or event is starting before sunset, try to get a seat on the westside of the stadium. The sun was beating down on me for about an hour and a half really earned the name “sun”bowl. And it’s September but it’s 104 degrees, so wear sunblock and make sure you have water to drink. Other than that the stadium is still beautiful and a fun way to spend the day with family and friends.
Home to the UTEP Miners, the Sun Bowl is a very big college stadium but seems to be very old in comparison to other colleges. The stadium is a little complicated to get into and good parking can be a little hard to find. Sometimes you might find yourself having to walk a good while from the parking lots to the stadium.
We enjoyed tailgating with fun fans and family in this beautiful venue. The weather was good, the food was delicious, and the game was excellent.
Truly a beautiful stadium that more should try to attend. Celebrated the induction of Christine Brandl volleyball, Holly Cohen soccer, Fred Reynolds men's basketball, Anthony Rotich track and field, Bob Stull Director of Athletics/head football coach and the 1988 football team into the UTEP Hall of Fame.just
Field has a hump in the center. Concession prices were a bit steep. Speaking of steep.. if you have a code brown, good luck! You have to go down a flight of stairs to get to a restroom. I guess if you are in a wheelchair tuck and roll??
Honestly one of the most picturesque stadiums I've ever been too. Lives up to its name thats for sure.
Nestled in the foothills off of I-10 sits the home of the UTEP Miners. Playing surface is field turf . Average capacity is 46,000 with max at just over 51,000. The yearly Sun Bowl is played here in mid December . No other teams currently using stadium as it formerly hosted soccer games in the early to mid 2000s
Excellent organization but for the new workers they must have a better training. Beside that it is awesome.
Bathrooms were very clean. Even staff was very friendly and happy to be there . Concert was great!
