UW-Green Bay's nine-hole disc golf course surrounds the campus' Main Entrance Drive. Slight elevation and light foliage add challenge to the course. This course is free and open for the public to enjoy.
In 2004 this nine-hole disc golf course was set up on the hills bordering UW-Green Bay's Main Entrance Boulevard. The driving force behind the course was then student Mike Klemens, along with a new student organization—the Disc Golf Club. The setup was funded with student activity fees. Approval came from Chancellor Shepard and the baskets were installed after consultation with facilities personnel and Student Life program coordinator John Landrum. Klemens credits fellow student Jon Brunner with the idea for a campus course. Brunner also designed the color maps found at each hole.
