I have had nothing but good experiences at this VA. The staff is all very professional & caring, and I have never waited past my appointment times in fact I am often called in early. I appreciate the services this clinic provides, and the care it gives to veterans. I agree with many other reviews that the phone system could use some updating it can be frustrating to get the correct department the first time you call, but after that have found it quite easy to use, but that is more of a VA wide problem than something specific to this location.
I miss my provider Cynthia Crow N.P. in Orem. She was the best. This new female provider I have at the south Jordan cboc seems to have an agenda against prescribing pain meds and gives a vibe like she doesn't truly care about the overall quality of life for veterans living in chronic pain.
I had labs done 2 months ago, and still have not heard from my dr. My old dr used to get back to me but she has sin e retired. This new dr does not seem to care about her patients.
Apart from this clinic being understaffed, I have had nothing but good experiences. I'm sorry to hear that other Vets may have been treated poorly at the Orem clinic, but my own experiences with Bonilla, Marchant, and Carey have been overwhelmingly positive. The lab and front desk staff have been very compassionate and helpful. I have been very frustrated trying to communicate through the phone, but always get quick and thoughtful responses when using the MyHealth app.
I am a new benificiary. I attempted to call for an appointment. Where it rang for 5 or so mins. then i went straight onto hold where after about 15 more mins. A lady answered who sounded annoyed that she had to answer the phone. I gave her my information where she stated she could not help. Said she was going to transfer me. Then I was disconnected. My husband has also had bad experiences.
Trying to get a appointment here is horrible! Need more clerks, and Don't try and make it over the phone. They need better people to over see this.
Fabulous and wonderful people here who passionately take care of veterans like me. They were quick with my lab results. Excellent professional level care close to home.
I supposedly have a doctor here but I’ve yet to meet them despite the fact that I’ve been trying to make an appointment since December. Every time I call the receptionist tells me that she’ll have the scheduler call me. The scheduler never calls. I’ve explained this to the receptionist multiple times but she doesn’t get paid to care. This clinic is the closest to my home but I’ll be transferring to Salt Lake.
I’m not sure about the doctors or nurses... but the reception staff seems very rude, lazy, and unprofessional. A couple weeks ago I called to check on my VA enrollment status. The phone rang for a very long time, and eventually a disgruntled woman finally answered. I told her why I was calling and she got an attitude with me, then placed me on hold. After about 45 minutes she still hadn’t returned so I hung up. Considering using SLC’s facility.
Tried to call 10 minutes before closing as I had left work an hour early to try and make it before they close at 1630. The phone connected to the SLC VA and it was told by the operator there that he would let the O Rem clinic I was on my way to pick up a piece of paper they called me and hold me was ready 30 minutes earlier. When it arrived at the clinic at 1632 no one was available. I called the clinic and again was connected to SLC and he reconnected me to the Orem clinic where no one answered and was connected to Ohio. Called many times again to try and reach someone as I needed the papers l had signed by my doctor and no one answered. They called me to pickup my papers and then weren't available for me to pick up. Weren't even available 10 minutes before closing for me to talk to and tell me not to show up if I was going to be 2 minutes after 1630. Not service minded at all!
