Totally agreed with all the positive reviews! I absolutely LOVE my veterans’ administration!!! It’s professionalism at the highest level !
The folks working in ALL areas of SORCC, White City VA, worked so hard in support of me they felt nearly like family. HANNAH STAFFORD, RON BUTKUS, DR. CASPERS, DR. OConnel, Shauna Stucke, the RT staff all of them I love them! There USED TO BE a couple of clinicians that were negative and refused to do anything but work against me and they’ve moved on. And one of my hero’s, JOHN LITTLE left way to soon. The wealth of tools and the unlimited support at White City, call and off-campus, promises to be more than enough to meet your goals! I think S O R C C puts the tax dollars to work in a very effective way. And don’t forget the kitchen in the cafeteria your food is on point!!!!!!
I have been here since December 30, 2021 and never in my duration in Oregon have I tested positive for COVID-19. I have had all three shots all moderna including booster two days ago and I test positive for COVID-19 in a federal hospital. I was then placed in a filthy, nasty room #109 from 5 to 930-945pm. I clean and mop the halls everyday including wipe down furniture in the TV rooms because I know there are limited staff. For this VA to treat me like a slave put me in a nasty room for three almost four hours is unethical and inhumane especially when there is already germs from the last veteran in there. The only thing Rt had to say was I am really sorry, now read a book or something and wait. Unprofessional. I have been moved to room 161 now with no bathroom door. As soon as I get out of quarantine I will be addressing the higher-ups. There is a good old boy system that needs to be addressed. This place is awful and I don't feel safe
I am not sure why i always hear horror stories about the VA, maybe in the valleys case we have a good VA with great staff. Scheduling is easy, i am usually in and out within 30 minutes for whatever my visit requires. My C&P examiners have been extremely kind, helpful, respectful and seem like they genuinely care.
This has got to be the worst VA facility I have ever been to. Everything is closed. Doors are locked. Hard to find a restroom.
Staff was reasonably helpful in my recovery, but in all actuality most of the thanks goes to an stunningly beautiful, amazingly intelligent, always up beat food services employees Ms. Kimberly. She made the walk to every meal more than worth it just to see her smile. She is extremely helpful to every vet there no matter the circumstances. Fell in love with her the second I saw her. Enroll in the resident treatment program and meet her. Just knowing her will help your program.
I have been going here for 6 years now. I have had 6 different doctors, and the service from the doctors is far   from good. Most of the staff, not affiliated with your actual care seem to be very good. I have had one good doctor for about 4 months, then she was gone. Traded to another team and treated like I am an idiot by the nurse. Changed teams again and had the doctor tell me that one of the issues I have might just be something I have to deal with, before all my options are exhausted. Seems to me he just doesn't want to deal with it. I haven't given up on him yet. If he doesn't pan out in my opinion I'm thinking seriously about going to the civilian sector.
SORCC has been a godsend for this veteran. The services I receive are top notch. From outpatient therapy to monthly bloodwork, I have a great repoire with the staff and in return they have always solved my issues and always responsive when needing outside care. I am currently on the Choice program and it's a great program. My Choice provider is my outside provider who has been my primary caregiver for over 12 years. I am one who appreciates this incredibly generous department. If not for my VA benefits I would have probably died long ago. So I would like to say Thank you very much for your service and sacrifice. I hear way too many vets complaining about their free care and services. You would think they would be a bit more appreciative.
It would be nice if they hired doctors that actually care about the patient. I have been treated so poorly by 3 out the 4 team doctors I've had. They are rude, arrogant and their bedside manner is atrocious. I don't even feel comfortable going to my appointments by myself anymore. I try to always be accompanied by a family member, and even that doesn't seem to deter the behavior, or how I am treated.
Anybody who is on here saying bad things about this facility probably dropped the ball and are incapable of taking responsibility for their actions
