Valentine Lakeside has a nearly 60-year history of providing a quiet, relaxing getaway to generations of families, fun-seekers and fishermen. The quaint facility is in Kingsland, Texas, where the Colorado and Llano Rivers join in Lake LBJ. The lake is held at a constant level in the Highland Lakes chain and is perfect for waterskiing, jet skiing, boating and fishing. There are numerous golf courses within a half hour drive.

Valentine Lakeside is a splendid place to stay. It's in a great location, it's right on the water, there's plenty of space on the property, and it's affordable. What really sets it apart are the people though. The owners, Pat and Susan, are the best! They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and often have time to chat. Not only are the owners great, so are pretty much all the people who stay there. Now, I was there for three months for work so I can only vouch for the February-May Winter Texan crowd, but we had a blast and I wish I had had more time off work so I could've attended the daily happy hours. Basically, if you go here and so desire, you'll be added to the Valentine Lakeside family which is a pretty great family to be a part of!
Great little place on the lake. They have a place for boats, swimming in the lake and the mats. The pool was nice and clean. Places to park your RV. The cabin had a fully loaded kitchen. The front porch has rocking chairs, and the back patio, you have your own grill with a picnic table. Owners were very welcoming. Nearby activities: Boat town and HEB
We had an incredible stay at Valentine Lakeside! The property was a lot of fun with beautiful views of the Colorado river. If you’re looking to rent a cabin with family or friends, then this is the place to go! We also met the owners and they were extremely nice and accommodating. Highly recommend!
This place was clean. good boat house, but the ramp was not usable by me the trailer hit the ramp at water. 19' boat. Pay ramp only 2 min away tho. overall would recommend Rooms: 5/5

We have spent our winter months for several years at the Valentine. Wonderful place to stay with loving and kind Owners willing to help you when you need it. And a lot of fun. They are always there making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as can be planning get togethers and potlucks.Rooms: 4/5
By far my favorite place to stay in Texas! The owners Pat and Susan treat every guest like family and are always walking around visiting with us. I always feel right at home when I stay here and have a blast on the water. Love this place!Rooms: 5/5

When I first arrived at Valentine Lakeside Resort from Houston the first words that came to my mind were involuntary peace. It was so nice to be out of the big city, sitting on my balcony, looking out at Lake LBJ. It’s a beautiful laid-back area, right on the water but also near some good restaurants. The hosts, Pat and Susie were delightful and helpful. I felt completely at home. I didn’t take advantage of the canoes or kayaks but I’ll do that the next time I go. My plan is to make it a quarterly event. I did manage to be able to take a nice sunset cruise and it was a joy floating amongst the beautiful properties along the water. Valentine Lakeside is one of the last places you can enjoy Lake LBJ affordably, without having to buy one of those beautiful houses. I look forward to many more visits.
