Very beautiful scenery. We missed the sun rise because we didn't know the gate was closed and we had to walk 15 to 20 minutes from the parking lot near the road. If you plan to see sun rise or sun set here, add at least 15 minutes to your plan. The parking is free and big enough for about 10 cars. This place is also next to POPE beach.
This place was amazing. The water was clear well past the pier and the history of the area was very insightful. Can't wait to come back and spend a whole day here.
No regrets and cherished memories! My husband and I fell in love with Valhalla over the internet but seeing it in person really sealed the deal. It has everything I imagined as a bride in terms of beauty but also flexibility, support and finances all of which are very important when planning a wedding! We got married right before the evacuation of the caldor fire and had originally planned for an outdoor reception with dancing inside. The day of, we were able to easily transition to all indoor festivities due to the smoke which was a huge triumph. Everyone danced, laughed and acted like there wasn’t a worry in the world! The staff is extremely easy to work with, communicate to and even helped us problem solve during the fire to make our dream wedding come true. I can’t imagine not being married in such a beautiful and historic place, even with the chaos of a natural disaster. We recently returned for maternity photos and to no surprise, we were infatuated again and actually appreciated the differences in scenery and vibes from each experience! We will always visit Valhalla when in South Lake Tahoe and it will always be a precious place to us. Get married here! Experience a concert here! Just make sure you get to at least visit at some point!!
Wedding review from a very happy bride: We booked Valhalla for our micro wedding on November 6 and it was an absolute dream. The team was fantastic from the moment we booked to The moment we left the property and even checked in with us A few days later to see how we were doing. They have amazing communication, check in with you regularly, answer any and all questions you have, can help recommend vendors from their preferred vendors list if you’re having trouble finding somebody, and the location is absolutely, breathtakingly, stunningly, gorgeous. The pictures themselves are beautiful but seeing it in person will take your breath away and getting married there?! A dream come true, especially if you have a great photographer that captures every moment like we did! The whole experience was just phenomenal, I can’t even put it into words that would be capable of describing how perfect our day was. Do yourself a favor, reach out to this venue and schedule a tour if you can, and book them for your special day. You definitely won’t regret it! P.s. if you have your wedding here, do yourself a favor and make sure to get some pictures on the dock, they turn out absolutely phenomenal!!! Photo Credit: Alley Rose Co
Wedding Review: Valhalla is not only gorgeous, but the owner and staff are wonderful to work with and very accommodating through the entire process. Michelle is very easy to reach, will give you a tour of the venue any chance she can, and worked with us through COVID postponing and helped ease our stress. This venue does require you as the couple to do most of the work, but they have great recommendations and will give you their honest opinion with whatever you need. We chose this venue without hesitation for the rustic, romantic feel with the beautiful venue and the lake and trees as your landscape! I would choose it over and over again if I could! *Professional photography by Emma Wynn Paul
Small but great venue. Very nice vibe.
Gorgeous venue with great staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. It was an amazing location for a wedding and the ceremony room converted very nicely into the dance hall. Not too big or too small, very perfect space for dancing. The views by the lake are of course fantastic. Doesn’t get much better than this. Also great spots to take photos.
Nice place to visit, quiet and relaxing. It’s a bit busy during the weekend however not so busy during the weekdays. If you don’t want too many people I recommend visiting it during the week. It’s beautiful and relaxing. You can walk past the building and go near the water/lake. Lake Tahoe I don’t know if the let people inside the building. Not really a place to spend all day as you can do many other things close by in the area
Nice spot along Lake Tahoe to enjoy the view, lake and history.
This is where we got married. It's a beautiful venue with picturesque trees and a backdrop of Lake Tahoe.
