The entire legal team did an exceptional job working on my case. Although, I had a previous history in the court system from decades ago, they were able to negotiate a dismissal for a charge against me that I did not commit. Communication with their team was seamless despite the heavy caseloads that they bear. I would absolutely recommend Valley Defenders to anyone that has to face charges in criminal court. David Goodson is a rockstar, and called me the day before my birthday and informed that he negotiated with the prosecution for a dismissal of the charge against me. Horrible person to begin with. Many unreturned calls, and office members that sounded dumber than rocks. Caused my case to last two years. Refused to listen to me. Spoke differently at court after speaking to me.
While in custody I was assigned a lawyer from this company. With a court date a month out. I was told to send an email to this company a few days later after being released from jail. I followed his instructions. I did not receive a confirmation email letting me know they got my information. I called the company a week later to ask about the process of court and if they received an email from me. The receptionist male was very friendly and brought up my account and answered all of my questions. So it took the day prior to my court date for my actual lawyer to reach out. My lawyer read me my rights. Asked the questions she needed and gave me advice on how to proceed. The day of court she talked to me again on updates and spoke for me during court and all I had to do was say yes or no to the judge’s questions about my rights. I would have rated 3/5 because that last-minute stuff before court with my actual lawyer. But it’s a 4/5 because without the receptionist answering my questions and reassurance, I felt better about my case.
Fantastic. Got my boyfriend help and got done what we’d been trying to push through to the court for almost a month in ten minutes. Talk to Mike, he’s absolute godsend.

Not impressed by staff , bad receptionist and senior staff. .. mR. Goodson tried on the case, it seemed . I can say that. He should be in charge at this place more so than who is now and definitely find a new receptionist.
These people legitimately care about the people they represent and will go above and beyond any other public defenders to defend their clientele
