Ten years ago, my life was profoundly changed when I had the terrifying experience of having an AVM Aneurism in my brain. The right side of my body was paralyzed and I had to learn how to walk again. When I was finally able to go out into the public after eighteen months of therapy, I dreaded seeing the attention that my bulky looking foot brace would get. Although, I knew that I had suffered an injury that would last a lifetime, I desperately wanted to look and feel as normal as possible.
