There was nothing online, or posted in any reviews, that the park is closed to the public during the day in the summer. I don't know if it's closed during the school year as well, but it was very disappointing for my kids to be turned away. And there are no other playgrounds anywhere nearby.
Great play ground and field and courts. Parking is usually easy right in front. There are two sets of jungle gyms/slides for older and younger kids, a lot of swings, two soccer courts and a handball court, a baseball field and a large grassy field. Plenty of benches and even bathrooms/vending machines.
Lovely park. Very clean park and bathrooms.
Great place for the kids to work off some energy, restrooms in good condition.
Please read all, thank you! Four stars only because there was one broken water fountain, on a 92 degree day. We had to leave solely for water. YET, I brought my very active 4 1/2 year old Grandson here; and enjoyed every single moment! This Park has everything! Great for babies on to teenagers with the soft Matt playground, organized, fenced in Handball, Basketball, and Tennis Courts. There are Two clean Fields for Organized Soccer and Baseball! There is also a fenced in open field for Frizbee, Kite Flying, or just exploring.
Beautiful park very clean my kids love coming here
Beautiful park....great summer camp for our valley stream kids. The grounds are up kept really well. The activities they do with the kids in the summer are awesome . Finally the staff is FANTASTIC, from the camp director to supervisors, counselors to counselors in training and Finally the staff that handles crossing and controlling the streets. Check out the park and if you can let your child enjoy camp!!!
Park location is beautiful, clean well kept equipment. My daughter loved it. The 1 star is for the park employee who decided myself and my service dog were not welcome and were asked to leave no exceptions but another man and his dog were welcome after the fact. I AM DISGUSTED WITH THE BLATANT DISCRIMINATION. When questioned this woman who happened to be an adult female of Asian descent wearing glasses said oh well you can come next time. Again denying me service because she believed my dog wasn’t doing a task without even asking what service she was for. It required me to display my service ID card and serious advocation for my own disability. The other owner allowed his dog to defecate in the field and not an eye was batted. But my dog in a down stay not interacting with any people as to not make any of the other parents uncomfortable was asked to leave.
Small but cute playground! Was not crowded and my little person enjoyed. Even was able to get the bat and ball and play on the field which we can't always do at a regular playground.
