Karen, along with her staff did an impeccable job of providing a beautiful setting for our family's loved ones both in April & June. The first loss was sudden, unexpected & we were reeling. Karen walked us thru the planning as if it were her own loss. When the second loss occurred, we were still numb, yet she was compassionate & kind. I highly recommend Van Lerberghe Funeral Home.

Both my wife and my families have used VanLerberghe for final arrangements. Compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough which are all important when dealing with the loss of a loved one. Family owned for generations not a corporate conglomerate. Makes a huge differrnce.

In the midst of some of the most trying times, the wonderful staff at Van Lerberghe Funeral Homes made an incredibly difficult process as simple as possible. The overwhelming compassion, empathy, and care, coupled with the detail and planning, resulted in a dignified memorial worthy of respectfully celebrating my lost loved one while alleviating some of the overwhelming stress associated with such an ordeal.

Went here because it was family owned instead of corporate. Huge mistake. I wasn’t never told when the obituary “went live”. Wish I had been; half the info on it was wrong. Parts I specifically asked to be omitted were not. The service was in silence. When I asked if there was any music that could be played such as a piano background music the owner brought out a portable radio and put on a radio station. Just what I want to hear during my mothers service - radio ads. The owner took it upon herself to make her presence known during the whole service, which I thought was not only rude, but disrespectful. Every time I tried to call with a quick question, whoever answered the phone thought it necessary to repeat themselves fifteen times and turn it into a 20 minute phone call. I specifically told them my work schedule and as a teacher, explained I could not take calls during work hours. Didn’t stop them from calling me. Sometimes unnecessarily. Disgusted with the service. My Mother deserved better. So does yours.

I can not say enough about the quality care and attention Karen and her staff provided to our family at the most difficult time in our lives. Every step of the way, Karen guided us in making the right decisions for our family in celebration of my mom. All of the staff treated us with such loving kindness. We are forever grateful for such thoughtful and healing service.

Karen and her staff do an outstanding job every time. She took care of my mother several years ago and my father this week. Karen has the ability to make you feel comfortable like she is part of your family, all while remaining Professional. She maneuvers through all the family dynamics like a pro. Leaving everyone satisfied. I highly recommend this place.

My entire family uses the services provided by Karen and her staff when the need arises. All of the staff are caring as well as supportive during any encounter we have had. They are amazing in assisting with details that we may have overlooked or just not thought of during the funeral planning process. Karen and her staff are extremely helpful with questions or any changes that may be requested for the funeral. The death of a loved one is difficult enough so it is a real source of comfort to know we can call on them in a time of need.

The entire staff went above and beyond for myself and my siblings during the event of my mother's untimely death. Karen made arranging and decision making as easy as it could be for three lost siblings who had no other "adult" to turn to. She helped us with things that she didn't ever have to help with. She provided a shoulder to cry on. I can't say enough about how amazing she and other staff were during the worst time of our lives. I have attended several viewings in the past at this funeral home and they have all been well done. The venue is elegant and peaceful. Staff is available and friendly. In the event that I need funeral services again for a loved one, I wouldn't dream of choosing any other funeral home.

Karen Vanlerberghe is the most compassionate funeral director I have ever met. I felt as though she was a part of our family, as she helped us along this most difficult journey in saying goodbye to my brother in law, a husband, son, brother, father and grandson. I’m ever so grateful we chose this exemplary funeral home. She is more than willing to accommodate your every request and makes the experience a comforting one.
